Car description |
---|
The actual VIN isSALLDHMV1AA194698 I have a clear California title in my name.
This truck is a project, and has rear frame rust that needs to be repaired! Low reserve, ready to let her go. Read on!
I bought this in England in 2006 and drove it for two summers while on business, super excited that I secured my dream truck! I had to leave it over there for a couple of years until it became importable, got a jump on the market. Planned on a European Adventure camping trip with my wife, but the financial meltdown in 2008 gutted my finances and damn near shut down my business. I put it in storage at a friends shop in southern England. I finally got it out of storage last year and shipped it home.
It is the County model, 3.5 V8 with accessory air conditioning. It has a dual fuel system, runs on natural gas and as a backup regular gasoline. I drove it almost exclusively on natural gas due to cost, and also cleaner burning. Included is the European gas connection adapter, a friend in Belgium says it;s the same as the US fitting. I have nothing to compare it to, but he buys US Spec VW Vanagons and fills them right up over there.
It's titled in California as powered by natural gas. It's on nonoperational registration status. It's also not running, it needs a starter and some wake up work. I misread the smog rules when I bought it, assuming it was smog exempt running on clean natural gas. It needs to have a GVW of 16,000 pounds to qualify for the exemption, so it will need a California smog test. It was previously titled and plated in Oregon. Delivery available for an extra charge with payment in full.
Sitting outside in England took its toll, the frame has severe rust from the rear suspension back. Also, the doors and sills have rust holes, or bubbling under the paint. Driver side bulkhead is bubbling in the middle of the outside upper edge.
