Ebay does not recognise UK vin. Vin isSALLDVAC7AA271672are bidding on a 1986 Land Rover Defender. It is a genuine waterproofed version and is an ex military hard top. It has covered 196,000 kilometres which equates to 118,000 miles. It has a very good chassis and benefits from just having a brand new rear cross member fitted. This is also an ideal candidate for exportation to the USA and it has all matching numbers on the chassis and the vin plate. I have shipped them to the states before so I have experience doing this and can also assist with delivery to the UK port. It also benefits from having just had all the bodywork done and sprayed in a hard wearing upol raptor paint. It has the bulletproof 2.5 na diesel engine fitted.
The exterior of the 90 is in excellent conditon as you would expect as it has all just been done. The upol raptor has a textured finish to it and is very hard wearing indeed and will protect it for years to come. It also stops any corrosion coming through. The sides are extremely straight with no dings at all and as you can see from the images it is in great shape. The chassis has just had a new rear cross member fitted and the rest has been cleaned and protected. The bulkhead is solid also and in very good condition. The wheels are standard and are fitted with good tyres. The door tops look good and do not look too old and they are the correct angled versions. All in all its very good indeed as you can see from the images.
The interior is also in decent condition. Please remember that it is a 33 year old Land Rover and as such does have a few marks and wear and tear here and there. The drivers seat base does have some wear to it but they are easily replaced if wanted. There are 2 seats in the front and also 2 benches in the rear for another 4 passengers. In also had the floor chequer plated in the rear for added longevity. All in all its as you would expect really.
Mechanically the land rover is excellent. The engine starts great from warm or cold and runs very well indeed with no nasty noises and has excellent compression. The gearbox is excellent and all the gears change well both up and down the box with no issues at all. The clutch has recently been overhauled and is excellent as you can imagine. The brakes are good and bring it to a stop in a good safe distance. There are no nasty rattles or bangs from the suspension neither. It is just a 2.5 na diesel engine and so will not win any races but it runs well and is extremely reliable. There are no warning lights on the dash and the water temperature sits nicely in the middle of the gauge with no overheating at all.
