Up for sale is my 1988 Land Rover Defender. I purchased it from Derek Chase, a well-known importer of Defenders from all over Europe. This was a one-owner vehicle from an estate sale in Cornwall, England. It is very solid on the frame, chassis and bulkhead. The 2.5 liter turbo diesel runs well, the 5 speed manual transmission shifts well and the transfer case operates as it should. When I bought it about 3 years ago, I did the following:
1. New stainless steel exhaust.2. New heavy duty springs and Bilstein shocks all around.3. Complete servicing and fluid changes: engine oil, rear differential, front differential, transfer case, manual gearbox, power steering fluid.4. 5 new tires, including the spare.5. New front doors due to some rust on the inside.6. New headlining7. New center console8. New battery
These Defenders are awesome off-road trucks. The 110 version is the longer wheel-base and gives it a better ride. The British call this version a "Station Wagon" and it has the "County" trim. I have removed the dated-looking side decals. The paintwork on this vehicle is in decent shape. I've done some touch-up and repaired a little dent that was on the top and it really looks good. I bought it for off-roading, so I did not do a complete restoration, not does it need that anyway. The interior is great: original seats are a woven cloth with no tears or rips. Headlining is new with new front carpets on the floor. I've also removed the center seat from the front and installed a nice center console for storage, cup holders, etc. I still have the center seat which will go with the truck. The rear sliding windows work well: I replaced the felt and rubber seals and liners and they are now like new. I do have another rubber gasket for the windshield to go with as well: it just needs to be installed. All of my books, workshop manuals, parts catalogs, etc. are included. I've included Derek's website as well. He will vouch for this truck. Please feel free to call me or email anytime. In person inspections are encouraged. Shipping is responsibility of purchaser; I will help load the Defender or be available to help in any way I can. VIN: SALLDHMB7FA376463 That is a valid VIN for this vehicle. eBay does not recognize it.www.gmr4x4.com (Derek's website)

I'm selling because I don't use this wonderful vehicle. I've made lots of improvements and it's ready to go.Bill Cooper 704-560-9818
