Car description |
---|
I purchased this rust free 1993 Range Rover Classic Long Wheel Base to remove the ARB Winch bumper and put on my white 89 Range Rover. I intended just to quickly sell this truck but since then, I have fallen in love with this truck and realized that if I put a weekend of work and remove the tints I could sell it for $5-10k. So I will keep it unless it goes to a good home for a fair price in this first auction. It is also listed locally here in LA.
It is blue exterior on tan interior. The paint and body is pretty good given the age and can polish to quite a nice shine. The roof clear coat is starting to flake in a couple places but it’s barely noticeable from further away.
This truck has 266,422 miles on it with lots of work to keep her running strong. I have smogged it in California and have been daily driving it the last two weeks. It is a great truck, starts every time, and never overheats, even idling in the California desert. The following work was completed by previous owner.
-heads rebuilt @dans cylinder head. Installed new victor reinz gaskets, crower 53229 cam, new timing chain and sprockets, lifters, oil seals and water pump. Done at 255,000-new oem transmission at 230k-new (used) transfer case at 230k-rebuilt steering box and seals at 250k-old man emu shocks and springs with 2” lift-old man emu steering damper-New window ecu-New fan blower, resistor pack and upgraded metal heater core-Led headlights and tailights-New alternator in 2016- general grabber AT with over 80% left- spare set of OEM landrover wheels with tires.-headliner not sagging at all!
Pretty much everything works except for the followings things I have noticed. These are just minor and common Range Rover Classic issues, you can register and drive this car immediately.
-Fog lights don’t come on-Seats don’t move ( they are in a great driving -position and this is an easy fix)-Cruise control doesn’t work-Mirrors don’t move on their own-Sunroof doesn’t go back down so the fuse is pulled to avoid accidenty putting it up.-Central locks. You need to lock each door individually.-Small tear drivers seat-Small tear on rear passenger rear d-pillar vinyl-Middle rear seatbelt receiver cracked-Usual woodgrain clear coat cracks but it’s all still there!-Aftermarket speakers have some crackling and distortion.
I will be removing the arb bumper for my truck so it will not be coming with a bumper. They are $180 on eBay brand new.
I am looking just to recoup my money from buying the truck in order to get the bumper. Closest bidder or offer to this amount can have the truck. If I don’t get this amount I will keep it for myself as it will surely be worth a lot more in a couple years.
Feel free to come test drive if you aren’t in Los Angeles.
Good luck bidding!
