Car description |

This Defender 90 was imported from the UK and cleared US customs with no issues recently. It is registered in Vermont and will be sold with a Vermont transferable registration.
A lot of work has been done to it in recent years and there are many invoices accompanying the vehicle showing what was done. It still needs some work, mainly cosmetic. The color is green but has a matte black wrap over it which isn't in very good condition. It should be removed . The roof seems to have been replaced and has a dent on the right side over the windshield, there is also a repair to the bulkhead corner on the same side which isn't a perfect repair. A bulkhead corner repair panel has been installed but it isn't flush. Under the bonnet there is also some repair still needed to the same side of the bulkhead, this can be seen in one of the pictures.
It has a dual battery setup so starts very fast, safari snorkel and rock sliders, has new rear seats which have not been installed and also a center seat which could be installed instead of the cubby box if desired. Has many invoices showing engine work done in recent years, seller said it has been rebuilt. It has an electric fan upgrade which works very well. Tires look fairly new.
There is some issue engaging third gear and a little steering play, the third gear might be a clutch issue as the clutch is biting high in general. I'm not a mechanic so I don't know. Bonnet release cable needs to be replaced but that's an easy thing. Due to the Defender needing some TLC it is sold with no reserve.
Serious bidders only, this is a right hand drive vehicle so please bid only if this is acceptable to you.
It is registered in Vermont, Vermont does not title vehicles over 15 years old so this will be sold with a Vermont transferable registration along with a Vermont bill of sale. This registration can be exchanged for a title in any state by the buyer. For anyone who is paranoid, youmay verify this with your local state DMV. Please tell them it is a vehicle over 15 years old from Vermont and comes with a registration and bill of sale as Vermont is a non title state for older vehicles, they should be able to confirm that this will be sufficient to obtain a title. Customs clearance documents will also be provided for buyer records.
