This 90 came to us from a discerning Land Rover enthusiast's collection as more of a time required labor of love than a full restoration. However, while not a flawless example you might find in a new Puma / illegal VIN rebadged, it is unlikely you will ever see another example like this. The truck started its life as a 1992 D90 with final fittings to specification by the Ministry of Defense in the UK. Upon retirement the truck was lovingly maintained by its second UK Keeper until its import to the US in October 2017. It appears the trucks chassis was regularly WaxOyl Maintained. The 200tdi based drivetrain is coveted as the best rock solid power plants for these trucks and partnered with the preferred r380 Gearbox it feels simply unstoppable. With only a touch of the ignition this D90 starts and runs flawlessly and runs out smoothly at highway speeds. From the first engagement you are confident that if you could maintain traction and stability it could climb a wall.
Conditions and inspections. Unlike some of the NAS offerings we table, this is not one of the "brand new" builds. It is instead it was a long term ownership recently imported and regularly maintained to exacting standards using only LR Genuine parts and specified fluids. While certainly fitted for the harshest environments it has not seen much more than occasional dry street usage since import. While there of course age expected inclusions in the panels/finish the truck shows as photographed and put simply stops traffic. As we house NAS 110's pending market or completion in-house, it draws as much interest as its NAS counterparts even though they are far more valuable and coveted. As our primary business is exotics, with retail offerings have to meet or exceed stringent requirements, our expectations in assessment is of course more than likely unrealistic. This being said, we score the paint finish currently about 7/10 re minor inclusions and the older paint does show well but could be matched and small nics be touched to perfection if so desired. However, one must consider our positioning is typically more for concours or high-end exotics' not something more fitted for application in the Zombie Apocalypse. Also, as with all Land Rovers, particularly Diesels when not used regularly, long term storage we understand and expect the typical fluid drops experienced as weeks of sitting. If you are not a seasoned Land Rover enthusiast you may not be aware of such common issues. However, this example, certainly credited to maintenance by the MOD and its subsequent owner the truck has yet to leave the usually expected spots. In fact it has not been moved for 2 weeks with no drips.

The Defender needs no formal introduction. At limited availability in the US it is one of the most coveted / rare SUVs in history. The retirement of the Defender in 2015 has already resulted in these cars being sought by investment groups as prices continue to climb. The truck includes a 2 keys, detailed log book, original jack etc . . .

The car is on display on the dealerships showroom floor. She of course gets far more attention than any of the exotics on display . . . regardless of make or price point.

This is a rare find and there are no issues with this highly sought Defender. In addition to remarketing services our founder and staff, in addition to the obvious passion for exotics, are Land Rover Owners and Enthusiasts. Many modern restorations take on the feel of a "kit car" as the entirety of the car is replaced with modern materials and/or the under panels, chassis etc are deteriorated hidden beneath paint or undercoating. What left is all new "to the eye”, usually very cheap or poorly made materials adorning a vintage shell and usually encompassing modern amenities simply out of place in a true Land Rover. Our Team maintains the position that it is the originality combined with the look and feel of older and or OEM original parts that preserve a vintage car. This being said, we strive to maintain the purity of any car, vintage or otherwise, we intend to offer on our retail arm. This unit, as with any pre-owned SUV, restored or not, will certainly have imperfections and should be thus expected to not be a "new" car.
