Car description |

You are bidding on a Land Rover Defender 109 Series III built in October 1984 for the BritishArmy of Defense and was originally finished in Nato Green. VIN SALLBCAHIAA224124, 1 ton, 2.25 litre petrol engine.
According to its records, it spent the majority of its life at the London University OTC before it was sold to a private party in England in June 1997. The next record I have is of a sale and restoration in July 2010, also in England.
I purchased the vehicle in April of 2015 from a private party who had imported to the U.S. and registered it in Florida. I had no issues registering the truck, and it currently resides in Naples Florida. When I purchased it, I drove it across the state of Florida, and it drove great.
The truck has always been garage kept while in my care, I have been driving lightly for almost three years. I have had no issues whatsoever with it since I have had it, I did replace the battery when I got it.
As you can see, at some point it was repainted from its original army Nato green, to more of a John Deere green. You can see from the pictures that its completely rust free. I'm not sure if the doors were repaired or replace, but everything is in great shape. No bubbling on the paint, minimal scratches, etc. but this was not a frame off restoration, the engine bay and engine appear to be original. I have copies of many of the service records.
The truck runs great. Some things to keep in mind, it does not have power steering, she's a little slow, and typical of all Rovers, she likes to drip a little while in the garage. All turns signals and gauges work. It has a canvas soft top that appears to be in almost new condition.
The things I've enjoyed the most about the truck is being able to fit eleven people in it. We enjoy taking large groups to the beach or going out to eat in it. Its a blast piling everyone in, you get lots of looks and compliments. I hate to sell it, but I have teenagers and I need something I feel more comfortable with them driving.
Please feel free to reach out to me via email, and I can answer any questions or give you a call.
There is no reserve on the bidding.
