Hello to all eBayers!
I have been with eBay for several years and I want to keep my reputation here 100% positive. I am a private collector, who has endless passion for classic cars and trucks. 90% of the vehicles have been rented out to movies commercials or high-class parties. Right now, I’m liquidating my collection since I’m selling my warehouse.
Are you an old vehicles connoisseur looking for classic/vintage vehicles without having to pay luxury prices? You are in the right place! I know that magic feeling when the right quality meets the right price, so I sell my vehicles worldwide at the most reasonable prices. I bought this vehicle with the intention of bringing it to California to add to my collection.
This 1980 LAND ROVER DEFENDER is located in a Copart facility in DUNN,NC. I tried to sell it on Copart, but this vehicle is a classic clean vehicle, and this auction yard is not the best place to sell it.
This vehicle has a clear NC Title. If you need to get a CA title for this vehicle, I can help you with that for an additional fee.
1980 LAND ROVER SERIES III
The Land Rover Series III is an off-road vehicle produced by the British manufacturer Rover Company that was inspired by the US-built Willys Jeep.
The Series III (1971–1985) had the same body and engine options as the preceding IIa, including station wagons and the 1 Ton versions. Little changed cosmetically from the IIA to the Series III. The Series III is the most common Series vehicle. The headlights were moved to the wings on late production IIA models from 1968/9 onward (ostensibly to comply with Australian, American and Dutch lighting regulations) and remained in this position for the Series III. The traditional metal grille, featured on the Series I, II and IIA, was replaced with a plastic one for the Series III model. The 2.25-litre engine had its compression raised from 7:1 to 8:1, increasing the power slightly.
Long-wheelbase Series III vehicles had the Salisbury rear axle (the differential housing and axle case are one piece)[clarification needed] as standard, although some late SIIA 109-inch (2,800 mm) vehicles had them too.
In 1980, the 2.25-litre petrol and diesel engines received five main bearing crankshafts to increase rigidity and the transmission, axles and wheel hubs were strengthened. This was the culmination of a series of updates to the transmission that had been made since the 1960s.
Also, new trim options were introduced to make the interior more comfortable if the buyer so wished (many farmers and commercial users preferred the original, non-trimmed interior).
Mechanical
This is the Cazorla version with the powerful 3.5 6 cylinder diesel engine with only 69,500 miles! This one comes with dual diesel tanks, power steering, and over drive. The engine runs strong and the power is excellent. The transmission and 4x4 gears work properly.Tires are like new. This land rover was legally imported from Spain and will come with a clear North Carolina tittle and import documentation. Runs and drives great!
Exterior
The exterior has some dents here and there. But overall, this is a very original SUV. It has a spare tire mounted to the back. Very solid undercarriage and engine compartment. All glass is nice.
Interior
Interior is in very good condition with the two front seats recently redone, and the rest as original as can be. It is enjoyable to be inside driving this great Land Rover. The carpet is very clean, door panels and the headliner are great. the dash is complete and all the gauges work as they should.
