Car description |

We are offering this beautiful silver and black Right Hand Drive Land Rover Defender 110 for sale for the first time in the United States. She was recently imported from England where she spent many years exploring asmall riverside town and civil parish in the Wyre Forest District of Worcestershire, England, along the Severn Valley a few miles to the west of Kidderminster and 22 miles south west of Birmingham.
This Land Rover Defender 110 is now over 25 years, which means she is eligible to be licensed as a classic vehicle and was exempt from both EPA and DHS regulations. In order to be properly imported and licensed in the United States, vehicles must conform to the original factor specifications and have all markers easily identifiable. These vehicles are becoming rare even in the UK, as many have rotted out or have had their chassis or motors swapped.
She is powered by her original 2.5L TD (Turbo Diesel) motor, with around 180k well cared for miles. We’ve done an inspection and rebuild and determined that she’s good to go for another hundred-eighty thousand miles if she’s cared for property. She has been well maintained over the years, including several modern touches to keep her running.
We recently gave her a tune up and fitted a new clutch and alloy wheels. The entire chassis and floors have been properly treated and any corrosion eliminated and sealed — including a new rear cross member to support the tow hitch. New side steps and chequered plates have been added, along with new window seals, front seats, LED blinkers, and new rear bench seats.
A new center compartment and dash central panel make her look sharp and allow you to continue to add accessories over the coming years.
She’s currently registered as a classic vehicle in the State of Minnesota, making her very easy to transfer to nearly every other state without excessive paperwork.
This 1989 Silver Land Rover Defender 110 is one of the best running, driving, and looking Defender 110’s we have seen in a long time.
The 2.5L TD engine will average around 27 MPG and start on the first turn of the key every time. The current configuration is perfect for hauling camping, biking, or other outdoor gear. Or, she’s perfect for running errands and getting groceries. She will seat 9 people, plus gear as she is. As full-sized SUV this Defender is very easy to drive, with windows all around, including a pop-up sunroof.

This is a UK RHD Vehicle, licensed in Minnesota. It is perfectly legal to drive an insure in the United States. The VIN is: SALLDHMB7FA410*** (Complete vin to be provided to interested bidders).
About Seller:
I am a filmmaker and photographer who also collects and restores vintage and classic automobiles. I adopted this Defender 110 while working on a film project called Defender.TV - following the Defender communities and owners around the world. As part of that process, we purchased a variety of these vehicles to feature in our documentary, but I'm afraid to say I am currently out of storage space and must let a few of them go. I founded Bishop+Rook as a way to feed my passions and drive a lot of really amazing vehicles. This is one of them. She will be missed... although, if she doesn't sell, that means I get to keep her.
The vehicle is currently located in Minnesota and I can help arrange shipping. To the east coast is about $750, Seattle/Oregon looked like it was about $1,000. Figure about $.55 a mile (I will pass along my brokerage discount for car shipping).
Ask any questions and we will do our best to get you a proper answer. She will never go down in value, as long as you care for her. What are you waiting for? She is listed for sale locally and we reserve the right to end the listing if someone snaps her up.
If you've got fairly good credit and want to finance her, we recommend SunTrust Bank (LightStream). They make the process super easy and can do a direct wire transfer of funds to either you or us. LightStream.com
