Im sadly considering having to let go of my Defender 110. I bought it from a diplomat who brought it back from overseas. I have clean title and all import documentation I will send with the vehicle. Documentation is very detailed no issues there. The vehicle was originally built on galvanized chassis that is still in great shape. It had a frame on restoration overseas on Galvanized chassis a little over a year ago. The vehicle has been driven and used since then but is overall in great shape. I drive it regularly as well and its a really solid truck. In fact in these pictures the truck is pretty dirty because I have been driving it regularly to work. I work at a dealer and pulled in our high res booth to try and get some very clear pictures for the potential buyer. I can take and send any other pictures on request.
*I added pictures of galvanized frame per request. Per pictures its in great shape underneath no issues. I searched a long time to find one with a Galvanized chassis. This Defender will be good to go for a long time.
The Truck:-1989 Left Hand Drive Defender 110- I got the paperwork from the British museum i'll send with truck its a real LHD 110. - Truck has a Land Rover diesel and does have power steering and heat. Starts right up and runs and drives great.
This Defender has had a lot of nice additions that gives it a more modern look and feel.Newly Added:- Puma hood- KBX grill- Flat dog Bumpers- New Winch- Flat dog Expedition Rack and ladder- Safari Snorkel and Snow Cowl- New Boost Wheels on basically new tires- Flat dog side steps- Rear bumper and towing package- New exhaust- Interior Cubby box- Carpet- Land Rover rubber mats- Upgraded stereo- Other interior upgrades
During restoration the vehicle was taken all the way down and everything rebuilt to original specs or replaced.- Engine and tranny were taken out and rebuilt and refreshed.- All suspension and all mechanicals taken apart and rebuilt or replaced- The truck runs and drives great, is turn key and very reliable, no issues, my Rover mechanic has had it recently for oil change and said it its great shape overall.- All doors were redone or replaced, they are tight and open and close smoothly- New hinges- New window channels and seals- New factory white paint, truck was white originally so no weird spots where someone left it another color- All glass is great- Only thing left original during restore was seats and dash etc. The owner wanted a more original feel, and seats and dash are in good shape so they were left undisturbed. Current seats are covered in Melvill and Moon seat covers.- Has factory sunroof, it works and doesn't leak- Headliner in great shape- The flags and lettering are just stickers previous owner put on I just left them but they easily peel off.
The Good:- Galvanized chassis is in great shape, doors and body very solid, floorboard solid, Puma hood is new and solid. Interior in great shape. - Truck runs great, cranks right up runs and drives smooth, suspension is smooth and quiet, no leaks anywhere- Headliner is good, seats are good, dash is good- Tires good, brakes are good.-Truck seems to be insulated well it heats easily and isn't too loud when driving.- Tons of new parts and money spent.-My local Rover mechanic has recently went through the truck and everything in great shape, he always compliments it as one of nicest Defenders he has seen and he deals with a lot of them.
The Bad:- Its a used and driven truck not a show vehicle. It shows very well and is a very nice truck just not absolutely perfect. Its a real head turner and I get stopped everywhere I go. Lots of compliments. When I own something Im gonna drive it, truck is great just not a show vehicle.- Footwell into doors have some wear where people have climbed in and out of the truck, carpet a little worn for same reason. Nothing major but I wanted to mention it. - Bumpers, steps, etc have a few scuffs etc for same reason just use and people getting in and out. Same deal nothing major but wanted to mention.
VIN IsSALLDHMB8FA382051. Ebay doesn't recognize.
The vehicle is for sale locally and can be sold at any time.
I've owned several of these Defenders now and this is a good one. A lot of money has been spent and its in great shape and ready to go. Very rare to find one in this good of shape with this many upgrades and galvanized chassis. If your looking for your first Defender or an upgrade I have owned a lot of these now and this is a good one and has had a lot of money spent. You for sure can't build one for one this one will be sold for. Great look to it with a lot of modern upgrades.
If anyone has questions or wants any additional info don't hesitate to contact. I'll provide any info I can. Not trying to hide anything its a great truck and has a lot going for it and someone will be satisfied with it for sure. Just not a show truck but still a really solid sorted out ready to roll Left Hand Drive Defender. Thanks. On Jan-22-17 at 18:12:31 PST, seller added the following information:
