Land Rover Defender 1989 90 - Original Condition

This is a completely standard and original Land Rover 90 County Station Wagon, it hasn't been altered in any way at all! It comes complete with all of the original handbooks, service book and literature. It only has 113k on the clock!

Original bill of sale and full service history from new (main dealer and Landover specialist) and large history file - please see photos below. This vehicle also has a UK Heritage Certificate.

As you can imagine, the Land Rover, starts, runs and drives exceptionally well. The best I've ever known a Land Rover of this vintage drive! The power steering is crisp, and true. as is the gear change, everything operating exactly as it should.

As with the rest of the Land Rover the interior is completely original and all six seats are in good clean order, as are the original carpets. The chassis is in very good order, very strong. On the body of the car, there is some oxidizing of the aluminum, and bubbling of the paint (which has been touched up in places). This Land Rover is 95% + original paint, just touched up here and there.

Engine
This engine is the 19J 2.5 Turbo Diesel, It starts right up every time. It doesn’t use oil or water and runs great. We gave it a service including new fluids throughout. It has a little over 100k miles and will happily sit at 65mph while getting 25+MPG.

Body
The body of this Defender is in good condition for an original unrestored defender. The paint does have some age-related marks as does any 25 year old vehicle. The paint is original and has never been repainted, just a few touch ups.

Bulkhead - Is in fantastic shape and very solid.
Rear Cross member - The rear cross member was replaced with a genuine Land Rover replacement part and is in great shape.
Frame - The previous owner frequently wax oiled the frame to prevent rust. It has never been welded and is extremely solid.
Floor Pans - Are solid and in very good shape.
Door Bottoms – Again are in great shape and don’t have any holes in them.

Interior
The interior is completely original and hasn’t been messed around with in any way. It’s in very good condition without rips and holes in the seats, it also features the original carpet and radio.

Brakes & Running Gear
We checked/rebuilt all brakes. They all work as they should and the parking brake holds the vehicle as it’s meant to. Bearings, seals gaskets etc. were checked and repacked where required. Clutch operates correctly, the transmission shifts as it’s meant to and it doesn’t make any strange noises. There are no fluid leaks.
