1967 Land Rover Series IIa “TRUCK RESTORED TO AS-NEW CONDITION USING ALL OF THE BEST PARTS”
VIN 24407403
The Classic Car Gallery is proud to present this absolutely stunning 1967 Land Rover Series IIa. Just completed by British Auto Repair (BAR) of Southport, T after a two years restoration, his truck was built to be the finest quality Series truck in existence. Known in Rover circles as the “ROVER WHISPERERS”, he techs at BAR are among the finest and most knowledgeable Rover Restores in the country. Every component, ut, olt, ivet and piece on this truck was either replaced or restored. Starting with a clean and rust free donor truck that was formerly owned by the president of Rovers North, very effort was aimed at making sure a period correct and accurate restoration was completed. The body was removed from the frame and was built from the ground up. SHE HAS A GALVANIZED STEEL CHASSIS!!! Every drivetrain and suspension component was removed, isassembled and either purchased new or rebuilt and reconditioned. The aluminum body was brought down to bare metal and then resprayed in her original Limestone finish. Her original 2.25 liter four cylinder engine was entirely disassembled and rebuilt to factory stock. She was fitted with a high ratio gearbox - a highly desirable feature which allows better highway cruising. The Gray Elephant Hide upholstery was purchased new and fitted throughout the interior. A new canvas top was fitted using knew galvanized bows. As can be seen, o expense has been spared on the build and restoration of this truck. She is in “as-new” condition and needs nothing except a discerning new owner. Feel free to call 203 256 9800 or email Steven@classiccargallery.com if we can answer any of your questions.
