Very nice 1989 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. Originally from North Carolina, his vehicle is virtually rust free. It is not perfect and has a few needs however, one of them are related to it's driveability. It is fun to drive and gets plenty of attention everywhere I drive it. I have owned this Jeep for3 years now and under my ownership has not seen bad weather. For as much fun as driving it in the snow might be, store it indoors during the winter time.
Recently, just completed a small block chevrolet conversion using a 1971 #511 400c.i. Chevy motor. The engine was completely rebuilt and the block was fully machined including a .030 cylinder overbore. The motor is not a race motor but, used a lot of nice parts and components on it such as new Bowtie Vortec cylinder heads and self aligning Crane Gold race roller rockers. I didn't skimp on the conversion and nothing was "hacked-in" or perminantly welded (i.e. Frame, rossmembers. Etc.)The engine currently has approximately 1000 miles on it. The original Torqueflite 727 is still in place and is mated to the motor using an Advance Adapters conversion kit.I have tested the 4x4 option which works fine although i've never had to use it. I've only driven the Jeep on the street and never off-road. The vehicle has a BJ's Offroad 6" lift and sits on nearly new BF Goodrich 33's and MB Motoring wheels.As I had mentioned before, his Jeep is not perfect. It's needs are mostly cosmetic which I believe to have captured in the provided photos. Below is a list of things I know for sure...The headliner and overhead consolehave recently beenre-done. The rear wiperhas been upgraded to the Durnago conversion and works perfectly, ven the washer. The overhead console display works off and on which is typical for these. Lights work fine.Gas gauge works but is inaccurate. It reads 3/4 full when full. The power door locks and windows all work but could use lubricated. There is a small chip in the windshield, he windshield is slightly foggy along the bottom and the rear view mirror is missing.The drivers seat has a rip in it and the underside of the armrest is well worn. All other seats are fine.All carpet has been removed and a vinyl floor kit has been installed. I bought it like this.Paint is not perfect, ut presentable.Left front fender appears to have been replaced at one time. The roof appears to have some extra fasteners init at some point, ut have beensealed. It might seem like a lot of issues however, believe firmly in full disclosure when selling a vehicle, specially to potential buyers who will be buying sight-unseen.although not my daily driver, drive this Jeep all of the time and none of the things from the list above even cross my mind as being issues. If I end up keeping this jeep I will likely never address any of the "needs" listed above.I am selling because I am ready for the next toy to tinker with.I encourage and am always happy to answer questions.
