Jun-05-15 A: No Rust-through - patina only (or sometimes referred to as scattered surface rust that can be wiped off with phosphate - truck kept in covered parking) it's in great unrestored shape ~;0) Q: what kind of running gear does it have .thanks phil Jun-03-15 A: The 51 has stock front and rear axles - original ( I suppose that's dana ) Three Speed original transmission (T90) just not positive other than its all the original gear - transfer case original equipment (it has in/out 4 wheel drive and high and low range) ~;0) Ur question has prompted me to recall that in second gear lifting one's foot from the accelerator on acceleration will allow the lever to pop out of second ready for third. I really never thought much of it til now b/c over the years of hot rodding and off roading that's always been rather common with old transmissions - it never occurred to us to do anything about it until rebuild time. Hope that helps ~;0) Chas
