Selling a Vintage 1981 Jeep CJ-8 Scrambler Pickup. This truck is being sold here for a relative that received this truck as part of a debt owed by someone. The truck sports a fresh and brand new, xcellent paint job, brand new set of seats, as a Jeep brand center console, rand new JVC Stereo with CD, emote, ux. input, nd Two Brand new Sony Speakers mounted in the factory dash locations with nothing cut in or altered.
The truck has a few added features. It has a vintage compass mounted on the top of the dash, ront end protectant screens, eadlight and taillight mesh screen protectors, arn front Hubs, nd retains the Stock 4 cylinder motor which runs strong and smooth. Many of these trucks have had their original power plants removed and small block GM motors put in their place but this one is still as original as it was new. It has a manual 4 speed transmission and it shifts smooth and the clutch operates as is should. The truck has been detailed and is in spotless, lean condition. The current owner just spent thousands on a brand new paint job. The factory roll bar was even repainted. It has a custom gun rack in the bed that is removable. Rear factory tire carrier. Glass is in great shape with new front and rear window seals, ed and cab floors have been lined to keep moisture out and from rusting anything on the truck upper surfaces. Engine compartment is clean and free from any modifications or heavy smog equipment. Does not smoke and goes down the road straight and brakes straight and smooth. Original Jack and lug wrench are still mounted in the engine compartment.
The only things I have noticed that in my opinion it needs, s that the tires look to have some age on thembutare deep in tread still. The spare looks ok and would do the job if neededbut not brand new by any means. It appears that there is a small seep/drip coming from the manual transmission I think. Not an expert but just my honest opinion only. Thehalf cab on the truck has been repainted inside and out and looks like new now. I have posted a lot of pictures to try to answer as many questions as possible. For being almost 35 years old, t is in very nice shape and looks very original and not lifted or turned into a rock crawler. Miles show just over100K but actual are notknown.Obviously sold as is, s for sale locally and reserve the right to remove at any time. Upon any accepted offer, non-refundable deposit due, ith balance within 5 days. Reasonable offers requested please. Thanks for looking!!!
