Car description |

This jeep was bought new in California and spent most of its life there. The man who bought it new took very good care of this jeep. After he retired, he moved to Ohio and brought the jeep with him, it spent its time in his garage or towed behind his motorhome. Upon his passing around 2014 the jeep went to his son and then to me.
This jeep is as original as they come, it’s all original paint, never wrecked or molested in any way. The storage bags that go with it are still stuffed with newspapers from CA dated 1986. I am guessing the bags where more for looks and he wanted them puffy!
The jeep is equipped with 5 speed transmission, PS, PB, Tilt, and delayed wipers. The original AM radio is with the jeep but not installed. This jeep was $ 12,431.00 and bought on January the 16th 1985. I bought it with the intentions of selling a 04 Rubicon I ordered new that has 26,000 miles on it but my family (mainly children) are having fits about me selling it so I am listing this one. I much prefer the 84, the top is much easier to take of and there is just something about an original CJ that the newer jeeps can’t replicate. The chances of finding one like this again are slim and getting slimmer every year. The underside looks like you would expect if you could go back in time 30 years. I do not have the window sticker but most of everything else including the extended warranty contract is with the jeep There can’t be to many left like this one.
Please look closely at the pictures and take note of the small details. Look at the finish on the bolts and the hardware, look under the hood and you will see the crayon quality control check marks. (to left of Battery) is one. You can not duplicate this stuff; a vehicle is only original one time and all the money in the world won’t bring that back once its lost. This jeep is not a slicked up shiny rolling pile of aftermarket parts and body panels. IT’S THE REAL DEAL. Paints a little faded on the hood, has a few parking lot dings, it is 36 years old but what it is not is rusty or corroded. I love driving it, It shifts great, it runs great, it drives great. Please do not ask the reserve
