It's hard not to get excited about a truck like this 1979 Jeep J10 Golden Eagle 4x4. After all, it's a rare and rugged Jeep pickup, and it has a high degree of originality, right down to the premium paint package. So look over all the details on a distinct classic truck that's also quite affordable.
Pontiac's Trans Am might have its screaming chicken on the hood, but that can't hold a patriotic candle to the bird that graces the front on a Golden Eagle optioned Jeep. Plus, as a premium package, this has a ton of great details, like the stripes that start at the bird's wings and run the full length of the truck. Also, the orange and gold pinstriping around the fender flares and rockers go nicely with this pickup's Alpaca Brown paint. Even the wheels are painted gold on this Golden Eagle! And not only is it distinct, but this is believed to be the factory original color package to this truck. So while it still looks distinctive today, it's especially outstanding as a survivor. As a true rugged Jeep you also have useful features, like the upgrade brush guard up front, a matching black sport bar in the rear (with full-size spare), and a rear step bumper with trailer hitch.
Jeeps of this era were eligible for one of the coolest interiors around. AMC partnered with Levi's to deliver an awesome and durable denim fabric. This one look like they recently upholstered the seats and doors. So you'll really love the look, right down to the button-top presentation. It's easy for the driver to get comfortable in this pickup thanks to features like the fold-down center armrest, tilt steering column, and crisp gauges set in the sporty machine-turned panel.
The Jeep/AMC 360 cubic-inch V8 has been a long-standing powerhouse utilized by some legendary vehicles. This has a nice and correct look, right down to the proper 360 decal on the air topper. Plus, this V8 is mated to a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission. So that provides a nice balance of strong construction and easy parts availability. It's a strong-running motor, and it makes a nice tune thanks to the new exhaust. The four-wheel drive system is an ideal setup with the Quadra-Trac system that also has a lever in the cab to engage low-range. And on those days when you just want to go for a quick Home Depot run, features like power steering and power brakes w/discs up front make this classic Jeep also handy for everyday life.
This J10 Golden Eagle is a nice mix of history and hardy Jeep ruggedness. So if you love a distinctive pickup, don't let this one slip away. Call today!!!
