Car description |

GREAT weekend driver for cruising the beach and enjoying the weather with the top down. The jeep is reliable and starts every time and she turns heads.
Very stock car, would be good for a restoration, or to use as is as a fun get-around-town vehicle. Original 4.2 L manual 1985 Jeep CJ7. Odometer reads ~98,000. I bought the car about two years ago and have taken my time to improve her. I have personally replaced the shocks, front brake calipers, discs, and pads (stops on a dime), master break cylinder, water pump, fuel pump, stainless dashboard, radiator, welded in the passenger's floor panel and made other miscellaneous repairs/improvements. In addition to the above, I also spent over $1800 on her in May of 19 with "One Planet 4x4" (FL-Pinellas's Jeep Specialists) to have the clutch rebuilt and seals/rear-brakes redone. She looks like a classic jeep driving down the road; however, you can rely on her to get you around town. I wouldn't be selling her except for the fact that I bought an even older Jeep to move onto. She is a great, garage kept car. One Planet 4x4 went through the jeep thoroughly and I am happy to put you in touch with the owner, John, for reference (I have attached the bill in a picture and if you call him he will know the jeep).
Previous owner's post when I bought the Jeep on Ebay (Late '17 - when I purchased) engine was rebuilt with 88,572 miles with receipt. New fan, clutch, spark plugs, power hose, ring gear, crank clutch bearing, exhaust manifold, used carb, heater hose, new alternator, new seat belts, alternator belt, power steering belt, and outer tie rod ends. Replaced rear differential fluid, herculined tub. Have all receipts to document maintenance/repairs (he provided me, I can provide to you).
No back seat or doors, only has a Bimini top (why would you want anything more). She has some rust (which I don't hide in the pictures), however, what 35 year old girl doesn't. Overall she is a very nice car to drive around on the weekends and enjoy.
The To-Do list: Oil pressure gauge and gas gauge do not work. There is a mechanical oil pressure gauge in engine compartment so you can see oil pressure (previous owner), and I just keep her relatively full with gas. No radio (I use a bluetooth speaker) and can show you some other options to wire in a radio. I have the Fuel sending unit for fuel gauge if you care to replace it.
Contact me via seller contact option if you would like a "real time" (Facetime) walk around of the Jeep. I am happy to provide walk an interested party though it in person or via digital means.
Serious inquires only.
