Car description

1983 Jeep Cherokee
This is one you don't see often, I think this is the last year of the full size Cherokee. Many people think it's just a Wagoneer, but there are quite a few little things that specifically make it a Cherokee.
It's about as basic as you can get.

It's powered by a 258 straight 6 and a 4 speed manual transmission, the transfer case is a NP208 which makes it so you can truly run in 2wd, or put the transfer case in neutral to flat tow. It has a set up premium Warn hubs also.
I drove this Jeep all last winter through the deep snow, over the mountain passes here in Oregon and on a couple longer road trips. I'm fairly confident that you could hop in this Jeep and drive it home even if it's on the other side of the country.
It has a good set of 31" mud terrain tires on it that all match, they are probably 60% tread.
Since it was my daily driver last winter I did quite a bit of work to make sure it wouldn't let me down in the snow. It has a new radiator, water pump, all new belts, fan clutch, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, all filters and fluids changed, and new wipers. I'll change the oil for the new owner if someone plans on driving it home since it is probably now due for that.
The things that don't work..... It doesn't have a radio at all. The A/C is complete, but I only drove it in the winter so I'm not sure. The gas guage doesn't seem to move, I always just filled it up every week after I drove 250 miles.
I've calculated the mpg a few times and it seems to get about 17-18 mpg regularly driving it down the highway which I thought was impressive.
If you want pictures of anything else just ask.

I'm only selling it because I have so many cars, boats, tractors, and toys.... time to sell them all and start over.
