Car description

Located in Chicago. Have owned since 2016 where I had it shipped from Texas. 304 v8 with a cam and 3 speed manual. Very fun head turner - will get lots of thumbs ups!

I consider it a running project that is 90% complete. Needs a little bit to be really dialed in. Comes with a top that has never been installed. it is currently a straight convertible.

Bought it as a poorly running project with 296 miles on odometer. needed a new Carb. I have put on about 3500 miles on it in the last 4 summers. When I bought it the 304 V8 motor was "rebuilt" and a cam was put in - but I don't have paperwork from previous owner. It does have a new 3 speed transmission (2014 with paperwork). Lots of high end parts with over $10,000 in recipes from previous owner and myself (Mickey Thompson rims, fox suspension, black mountain and bestop seats, steel braided brake lines, flaming river steering, tuffy lock boxes, etc). Has a what I believe is a 4 inch lift and 31" mickey Ts.

Since owning I have.
- put on new edelbrock carb
- new gas tank
- new exhaust
- new radio (2019) - need to play though Bluetooth, radio antenna not great
- HD battery with plugs and wires (2019)
- had valve cover gaskets and intake gasket redone (2019)
- new aluminum radiator (2019)

It's goes as is. I drive it on the expressway from Chicago to Evanston (15 miles) in the mornings and no issues at 65 mph. Steering is not super tight but no death wobble or anything like that. Paint is Kawasaki green and that of a driver and is not show quality. Same with the interior.

As seen in the pics in the garage there is a rugged ridge front bumper not installed. I didn't like the aesthetics so I took it off. It has new seats up front (black mountain) and rear (bestop) although I don't have the rear installed at the moment. This is easy to put in though i just like the mini pick-up back i get with the seat out. I also have a brand new soft top and hardware (from Bestop) and doors but these have never been installed before and will be a little bit of a project. It does have AC installed although I never used it without the top.

The only things I would have done are:
- have the timing done. No idea last time it was done and couldn't hurt to get adjusted and timed up
- thermostat works but it not set up right. When the intake manifold was resealed this summer I don't think they reconnected it right. I didn't catch that it wasn't working until a few months after. There are no issues with overheating
- I am chasing down an oil leak from somewhere but pretty common for old rides like this (uses oil with zinc additive given the cam)

I still drive it so miles might approach 3900-4000 on the odometer

looking to sell simply to move on to something different.

Local pick-up only. if you want to ship it with no top THAT IS AT YOUR OWN RISK. i will not set up shipping.

PLease come look and ask any questions before bidding ! I will not refund! Thanks! Mike
