Car description

1979 AMC CJ7 Original steel body and frame.
Well over $30k and 300 hours Spent on restoration - not counting the value of the CJ itself!!
CHASSIS:Frame was pulled and powdercoated 2 years ago along with replacement of ALL bushings, nuts and bolts, New Gas tank and fuel lies, New Brakes (Everything from Master Cylinder to the pads are brand new including new AMC reproduction Brake lines), New windshield seals and weather strip under window, new Chrome parts all over, Warn Winch, Warn bumpers and tire swing and Mopar Stainless grill with 2017 JK Headlights and even a new HighBeam Foot Switch. It had a pretty decent paint job when I bought it so I left it as you see it. I also added all new Racing Seats and Harnesses. Has Original Fiberglass Hardtop and Full Metal Doors. I also added the Vintage Jeep-air AC System for LS Swapped Jeeps (All AC components are new and everything under hood is new for a 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500). I had inside tub rhinolined from firewall to tailgate, added CJ Rugged Ridge Floor Liners up front and a Metal Center Console. All new brake lights, markers, and turn signals
DRIVETRAIN:I bought a running 2002 Silverado Pickup with 140k miles and pulled the engine, ECU Wire Harness, Engine bay Fuse Box and Transmission. I sent the Motor and Transmission to a Machine shop and had them 100% FULLY rebuilt ($9000). I added new Waterpump, AC compressor, Pullys and Belts -Pretty much everything attached to the motor is brand new. I bought an advanced-adapters LS-to-Dana Tcase kit to marry the original Dana Transfer case to the GM 700R4 4-speed Transmission and all new custom driveshafts made for exact fit, Added specially made LS-to-CJ Stainless Steel Shorty headers with all stainless exhaust and High Flow SS Cats (catalytic converters are GM High Flow cats for Cadillac CTSV with new o2 Sensors). Magnaflow SS Performance Mufflers so it rumbles but not stupid loud and AFE Cold air kit good for 300hp 350tq. I also added Billet Twinstick Tcase controls and B&M Slap Shifter. I babied it for 1st 500miles and varied speed often to brake it in proper. New 4.56 G2 Gears and Axles front & rear & added lockers front and rear all new seals and bearings.
SUSPENSION:100% all new Suspension & Steering components and reinforced Gear box. Five New 35x14x15 Nitto Extreme Mud Tires on 15x12 M/T Wheels - Ive had the speedo buried and its smooth riding!!Reverse Shackle Kit, New Leaf Springs, Ubolts and bushings
AUDIO:Rockford 8" Premium Rockford Fosgate Speakers in back with Fosgae Jeep Center Console speaker and a 10" subwoofer behind the rear seat. All boxed were custom made and Rhino Lined. The amp is a JL Audio 600watt Marine 6channel, The radio is a Chrome Vintage AM Looking "RetroSound" headunit With Blootooth - Very Loud and Very Clear Music you can hear coming and easily overpowers the Mud Tires' Roar.
Problems and whats left:ITSA J.E.E.P. Just Empty Every Pocket!!
I added a new Guage Cluster with the new motor so Miles on on the gauge match the motor but speed is off a little. The Fuel gauge stopped working for some unknown reason and if you let it sit the battery dies so please keep it on a trickle when storing (Started doing this after the new Stereo and AMP was added). The wiring around the fuse box could be cleaned up a bit, but everything works - I seem to be the only one who notices because nobody at any of the shows I attend every comment other than what an amazing jeep. Some of my new billet dash switches look great but functional quality sucks - China Im sure. You can see that there was some bondo added at fender seam at some point on body but definitely no rust holes. I bough the jeep from a friend who had it for years and he bought it red (I know it was originally Green because I had engine bay sanded and POR Engine bay coating added) The Prior owner nor myself ever did any body work - I cant speak for the 30years prior but definitely never wrecked - its really a nice Jeep - One of the nicest for sure!
Why Im Selling:Bought a new house on the river then decided to tear it all down and start over - Money is getting tight plain and simple.
Any questions just ask - I know every inch of this Jeep - Its gets more love an attention than my wife. I also plan on listing locally.
