1975 Jeep CJ5 - Invested almost $14k building this Jeep.
I'm the third owner of this Jeep. When I bought it from the second owner he only had it for a short time and didn't get to drive it much, hence selling it. He claimed the original owners put 90k on it before the odometer stopped. When I rebuilt the top end of the engine it was apparent that he was correct given the good condition of the internals. I would estimate 105-110k miles now (approx. 3k miles on rebuild). Doesn't get driven much on the road, just to get to the trails every so often.
Engine:
-Factory 304 C.I. V8
-Rebuilt top end, machined and rebuilt heads at machine shop
-Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor
-Edelbrock Performer intake
-Edelbrock fuel regulator
-MSD ignition box and distributor
-Hooker headers into Magnaflow mufflers and dumped out the sides
-Comp Cams camshaft installed this year
-Fresh wiring harness (body + engine)
Drivetrain:
-Factory T15 transmission with good clutch
-Swapped in old style (stronger) Dana 30 in front, AMC 20 in rear, both with Detroit lockers, chromoly axles
-Nice chrome wheels in good condition with 33" BFG all terrains-Disc brake front, drum rear, stainless braided brake lines
Misc:
-Full roll cage (just needs new bolts to attach to the body, old ones started to rust)
-Mastercraft suspension seats with 5 point 3" harnesses
-Custom aluminum dashboard
-Autometer gauges (two have been replaced with cheapies)
-Bestop soft top is in great condition, windows showing wear (who needs them in a Jeep anyway)
-LEDtaillights
-Poison Spyder BFH Brawler front bumper
-Smittybuilt rear bumper with tow hitch
-Custom competition cut rear fenders and custom front flat fenders
-New battery, spark plugs, fuel pump-Original vintage blue license plate
I'll likely include a speedo cable that needs to be installed if Idon't install it myself.
Please keep in mind this Jeep has been built for off roading. I have the rear seat I will include but I usually just put my dog's bed back there. The body is in great shape for an off-road vehicle. Make me an offer and snap this up for a doors-off summer.
