Ultra Mint 1985 Jeep CJ7
Hard top model with roll up window in the hard doors. It has ONLY 37,191 original miles, inline 6 cyl., 4 speed standard shift, P.S. AM/FM jeep radio, tach ziebarted when new.The original tan vinyl front and rear seats are in new condition. The original black carpet is also in new condition. The windshield has two small stone chips that have been there for about twenty years and show NO signs of cracking. The original owner purchased this Jeep CJ7 in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. He then drove it 200 miles north to his summer lakefront home and parked it in his garage. He used this Jeep driving on the back roads of Northern Michigan to look for deer, Elk, Turkeys, etc. It has never been driven in bad weather. NEVER out in the salt. It was not used for off-roading or climbing sandy hills. Most of the 37,000 original miles were put on unpaved roads, which accounts for the original tires still having 75% tread left.I purchased this Jeep in 2011 with 36,984 original miles. Which means I put 207 miles on it in 8 years. I kept it in my garage at my summer lakefront home in the same town and drove it on the same back roads of Michigan, looking for wildlife. The Jeep was 100% original when I purchased it from the original owner, except for a ding he had removed and a fantastic repaint in it's original color. You cannot tell it is a repaint as most everything was removed before the repaint. The only way you can tell this has a repaint is that the quality is far superior to the factory paint (no orange peel or mask lines). He specified single stage urethane by Ditzler.
No mask lines, no orange spray, no over spray, no clear coat.In 2011 I replaced the radiator hoses (modern kind), heater hoses, antifreeze, belts, oil, oil filters, checked all fluids, etc.
In 2015, I replaced the fuel pump.
In 2017, I replaced the battery. This Jeep is in outstanding condition, and if you look at the Jeep without looking at the odometer and guess how many miles it has, your guess would be ZERO, except for the two small stone chips in the windshield, and the 25% ware on the original tires.I purchased a 1975 F-250 diesel pick-up to replace the Jeep CJ7, as I really need a pick up at my summer home.
If you want more pictures, please email me an I can send them to your smart phone.
I have included pictures of the underside of the Jeep CJ7. The problem is that the Ziebart coating was installed over 34 years ago and does not allow you to see what is under that coating. The Ziebart was installed on the Jeep when it was brand new in 1985. There has been no coating put over this 34 year old Ziebart, except a little over spray from the repaint.
PLEASE DON'T ASK FOR THE RESERVE.
