Up for your consideration is a 1946 CJ2A (serial number 64762). It seems to be in original condition minus some poor body fixes and some welding on the frame towards the front. In its transfer of owner ship recently it was revealed that the drum brakes at all four tires have recently been redone (was told its had a complete rebuild on them although I can't verify). It was also revealed that the transfer case and transmission have been rebuilt as well but also with no verification. The engine appears to be locked to some degree (took out plugs, breaker bar to crank nut and couldn't move it much). It does roll freely and turn with the steering wheel. Tires appear to hold air well but are certainly old and cracking. Wheels appear to all match and I think they are Shawnee Red with a blue pinstripe although they are covered with a brown layer of flaking paint. The body is solid to the touch but ripe with ingenious "make it work" mods so it's hard to say what's truly solid. It appears the original body color is in my opinion "Mediator blueâ€.Suspension seems to be original and in need of fresh leaf springs and shocks. My point overall is that this 73 year old Willy's seems to be mostly original and have most parts still. Every part of it will need attention I'm sure. Hopefully it qualifies as more than a parts jeep but maybe that is where it's resigned to its demise. Starter is off engine, has extra radiator and heater along with a set of Warn hubs, an extra Carb and some miscellaneous bits.Non refundable deposit of $500 due 24 hours after auctions end, remainder can be collected at pickup via cash or certified check.Easy trailer pickup sightJeep can be stored up to 4 weeks for no fee.Clear title
