Car description

1989 Jeep Wrangler "Sahara" with Hard Top. The jeep comes with a Mopar MPI upgrade installed 4 years ago, Wern winch, Swing out tailgate with full size spare, new shocks, Pace Setter header replaced stock exhaust manifold, External fuel pressure regulator, Trailer brake controller, Bimini top, Soft 1/2 doors (1 year old), New clutch and clutch pump, New lower main seal recently replaced. Rugged Ridge bumpers were mounted front and rear to accommodate the wench and swinging rear gate. The engine runs strong and all cylinders tested within spec during compression check. There is some minor body rust on the fenders and below the windshield. The rear seat was removed (will come with the Jeep when sold) and a locking wood box was build with speakers for the 2 year old Sony CD / Audio player.
The Jeep needs rear brake pads and there are a number of items that could use attention to make her superb: the windshield wash controller on the turn signal arm is intermittent; occasionally on start up the engine will remain in "choke" mode for longer than necessary... even when already warm. This condition lasts about 5 seconds with the engine at about 1800 rpm. I believe it has something to do with the computer not recognizing the Pace Setter header; tear in driver's seat base; due to the worn rear brake shoes the parking brake does not hold when depressed; tachometer has not functioned since the MPI kit was installed; the original wiring was left in place after the MPI kit was installed. If I were to keep the Jeep I'd remove the old wiring for a cleaner look.
