Car description

One owner J20 Pioneer until April of 2018 (I did not register it until June). Virginia truck until 4 months ago then moved to Nashville, TN area. This is a very rare Pioneer, 3/4 ton. I am the 2nd owner and a classic Jeep enthusiast. AMC 360 V8. Power Steering, Power brakes, Cold AC converted to 134. Everything works as it should, including 4WD. Wipers work on mist, low, high and wash but not on intermittent. The truck does not leak any fluids. Oil pressure is strong (60 psi while driving and 40 psi at warm idle). I bought the truck from the original owner in the next neighborhood over from me in Alexandria VA. It had 39k miles. Never smoked in. The paint on the hood was too rough. A restoration shop painted the hood but could not get it to match so the entire truck was painted in the factory color. I did not have the bed or tailgate painted. I wanted to keep the original graphics. If the buyer wants to paint the tailgate,"Jeep" tailgate decals can be bought but the lines cannot. The interior is original. I had the truck gone through by a restoration shop and this is what we did.
Oil and filter (I changed it again in May of 2019)
Plugs, cap, rotor, wires (Tuneup)Fuel filter
Air Filter
PCV
New transmission cooler lines
Y-Pipe
Air injection tubes on passenger side
Converted AC to 134, replaced return hose
New belts and hoses
New battery
New Headliner
New window wipes
New hood insulation
New fuel filler hose
I have all my records and some records from original owner, including documents from when he first purchased the truck and a photo of the title with his name dated 1987. The auto check shows that an emissions check in 1999 showed 133k miles. That was an error by the technician as can be seen on follow up mileage. The truck runs and drives great. It easily cruises at 65 mph straight down the road and brakes straight. You can see from the photos there is only surface rust underneath and no rot in the frame or body. There is a 50 cent piece size bubble spot on the passenger door.
AMC did not keep great numbers but 1150 J-trucks were built in 1987. If you assume half were J-10 and half J-20, then roughly 600 J-20's were made. If you divide by 2 again for Pioneer packages, you're at 300. If you divide again for 3/4 ton option, conservatively, there were 150 or less of this truck built in 87. Most Jeep "experts" agree more J10's sold than J20's and even less were 3/4 ton Pioneers.
I get at least one compliment every time I drive it. This is a solid truck.
