Up for auction, this 1960 Willys Jeep time capsule! This Jeep, was pulled from dry 40 plus year storage. There is a cool story that goes with this vehicle, it was purchased new in 1960 to be used as a plow truck for a local car dealer, it was used to plow the lot from 1960 until around ?1969? When the dealer purchased another new truck, this was then stored in the basement of the dealership until I recently purchased it. I know the history because my Uncle rented from the owner for thirty plus years, always having heard of the treasure in the back but never seeing it until just recently.
There is no doubt the mileage is true, clues are everywhere, from the original craymarkings, seats, paint on the engine, the top is awesome but the vinyl windows are discolored, the engine spins free and I made no attempt to get it running. My hope is that someone will make this into the museum piece it deserves. Parts for these trucks are readily available and dirt cheap... This would be an awesome project for anyone to enjoy.Circumstances will not allow me to take on this project right now or I would do it myself. There is some rust on it but nothing serious, there are two floor supports that need replacement and there is some bubbling on the lower side fenders, the drivers side floor has a piece of metal layer over minor rust, but other than that the tub is really nice. There is some damage to the left rear that was left and spray painted. No stories here just an honest original truck. The plow is included and is also in excellent condition.
This vehicle is being sold as is where is with no warranty expressed or implied the buyer assumes all liability for transportation and agrees to pay as per the terms of the listing.Connecticut is not a title state for vehicles over 25 years old therefore the vehicle be sold on a Connecticut bill of sale.
