1987 Jeep PROJECTNeat original 87 Cherokee Chief. No rust! This is the desirable Chief model with the best motor and transmission! The good:No RUST!Motor sounds solidAll originalAMC AM radio!Factory ACNew tow bar included
The bad:This truck had been sitting up for 2 years or more when I bought it and I believe that the fuel pump has stuck and needs replacement. The fuel gauge is stuck and it will only crank and run when sprayed with starting fluid.Tires are dry-rotted and will need replacing. They should be o.k. to tow as is though.Paint is weak. It looks good from 10 feet but the paint has become faded and worn. (I personally like the look though and would rattle can clear it as it is).Headliner is sagging and the interior plastic is dry or crumbly and also the drivers seat has some holes.
This truck should be up and running with just minimal work (fuel pump) and would make an awesome 4WD Chief with a little effort. It will have to be towed to its new home as it is though but it does come with a new tow bar that fits a 2 inch ball and tows very easily (I pulled it 200 miles).
