Car description |
---|
Nice drivable 1947 civilian jeep. Was originally red, painted green 20 years ago. Lots of work done recently to get it operable again after sitting in barn for over 10 years including having the original engine overhauled, front to back complete brake job, new suspension front and rear, rebuilt carbs, new fuel pump, new starter, etc etcStarts, idles runs and shifts good. It purrs like a kitten when idling and going down our gravel road here in rural Missouri.
It has been converted from a 6 volt to12 volt. All electrics work except the gas guage and speedometer that are currently inoperable.
Keep in mind that this old jeep is a 72 year old vehicle that is pretty much original including the engine and transmission and it demands to be pampered and driven gently. The new owner can keep it as is and show it off at local parades and shows, or it would be a perfect candidate for a total restoration. Either way you will be getting a cool old jeep that will only continue to increase in value.
I have a clear Missouri title in my name. It is currently registered as a historic vehicle.Note: the gas gauge and speedometer are currently inoperable. The tires are old but have held air for all the years it was in storage.Check out the photos closely and feel free to ask questions before submitting a bid.I have the Jeep listed for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction if sold.
