Car description |
---|
This is a 1981 Jeep CJ5 with a AMC 304 V-8 and 4 speed Manual transmission. I believe the transmission, transfer case and axle's are all original. The original engine was a 258ci 6 cylinder and the previous owner swapped in the 304 V-8. The engine runs strong. I do not know the year or mileage on the engine. It has a Edelbrock intake, carb and air cleaner. OEM electronic ignition. Headers with Flowmaster exhaust. Aluminum radiator. NO RUST anywhere.
The tires are 33x12.50x15 Hankook All terrains in good condition mounted on steel wheels. The previous owner added 2 inch lifted front leaf springs (not sure of brand) but did not change the rears.I added 2 inch rear lift shackles to level it out.
The front bumper has a Harbor freight Farm jack (fake High Lift) that is bolted on. The rear bumper is aPro Comp brand with D rings and tow hitch. The seats are Bestop in excellent condition. There is a CB radio mounted on the roll bar. The factory clock works as do all the gauges. A additional Oil pressure and Temp gauge is mounted under the dash.
The paint looks good from 15 feet away but it is not a good paint job. There is large chips on the right fender and rear by the tail light. (see last photos).
The Jeep has been many colors in it's lifetime. I believe the tub was originally a root beer brown but was painted yellow then Green. The interior paint work is OK but not professional.
This is a solid Jeep that runs and drives good. It just needs the new owner to either use it as is or take it to the next level.
I can send more pictures upon request.Call Chris at 702-743-9068 if you have any questions.
