Car description

Do you ever want to escape? Head out to explore the road less traveled? Explore down a dirt road out in the woods or in the outer reaches of a park system? Then this CJ7 might be the vehicle you need. It can take you to work during the week, and take you as far away from it as possible on the weekend. This Jeep looks great in silver with chrome and black accents and trim. The stripes on the hood look kind of like a stylized bird and Renegade appears in script along the side of it. Everybody knows what the front of a CJ looks like, but the chrome grill and bumper leading the way on this one adds some sparkle to that iconic grill. There are step up bars to protect the rockers and also assist getting up in and there is a new bikini top to help protect you from the sun and rain. Out back, the spare tire is mounted on a swing away carrier with a vinyl cover so it doesn't take up interior room and chrome hoops offer a little protection from bumping into trees while turning around on narrow trails. Black fender lips reach out to cover big BFG tires mounted on Pacer wheels. Step up inside and have a seat in the comfortable high back buckets with fresh Bestop covers on them. There is a three spoke steering wheel a Jeep center button and shifters for the 4-speed manual transmission as well as the transfer case on the floor within easy reach. There is a big 'ol lockable center console with lots of room in it which has cup holders and a pad to rest your arm on. The dash layout is all in the center with a nice, simple layout of switches down the left side, the speedo in the middle and oil and voltage gauges off to the right. There is a JVC AM/FM/CD player for your listening pleasure and an air conditioning system mounted below the dash for those hot summer days. There is a factory roll bar that is well padded for your back-seat passengers to hang onto while 4-wheeling and a grab handle for your front seat passenger too. Release the clips and pop the hood up and you will find a tried and true and reliable 258 cubic inch in-line 6-cylinder engine. A Carter 2 barrel handles the fuel mixing duties and sends the mixture out through stock intake and exhaust manifolds send the spent gasses downstream to a dual exhaust system with glass pack style mufflers that make this Jeep sound sweet. Signs of good regular maintenance include a newer battery, radiator and brake master cylinder that puts the clamp on front disc brakes, as well as belts and hoses that are in good shape. Solid axles both front and rear are mounted on leaf springs which is a simple reliable setup too. A steering damper helps absorb kickback if you hit a rock or log while you're on the trail. 33x12.50 R15 BFGoodrich All Terrain tires are mounted on good looking, 8-hole, polished Pacer wheels and provide good ground clearance, as well as great traction. Come on down and check out this escape vehicle. Its good fun and good for the soul. Then take it home with you and head out for some adventures.
