I bought this to do a restomod over the next couple of years and show it off on the weekends at coffee and cars, etc. It was supposed to be an investment that I could have some fun with but then life happened and so the dream must be put on hold. (I will buy another Wagoneer someday!) This definitely gets the looks from passersby! I hope the winner of this auction has as much fun with this Wagoneer as I have had in this short time I've owned it.
The 1987 Jeep Grand Wagoneer is the classic 4x4 that mixes modern convenience with serious vintage appeal. So as these have become more and more popular, a low-mileage, loaded, and highly original example like this is desirable. Cape Cod can't seem to get enough of these classic luxury vehicles! These final years for the Wagoneer's were also their best. The style had a chiseled look born out of a rugged utility vehicle. This was America's first example of a Luxury 4WD SUV. It has a terrific well-kept quality that you see in the completeness of the sheetmetal and the way it all lines up correctly. A proper Grand Wagoneer wouldn't be complete without detailed wood veneers running down the sides and on the rear. These look particular good on this Waggy. The large bumpers, wide grille, full trim package (with hood ornament), and luggage rack are all part of this premium flair. And while Jeeps were rugged, the Grand Wagoneer kept an eye on the style details. That's why the 15-inch factory alloys have a gold inlay to coordinate with both the wood and brightwork. The two rows of seating are trimmed in leather and offers plush cloth inserts for where you sit. None of this looks like it has pulled family duty, right down to the fresh carpeting. The Jeep/AMC 360 cubic-inch V8 has been a long-standing powerhouse utilized by some legendary vehicles. The Wagoneer was the last to carry this torch into the Chrysler era, and so it's great to see such a significant motor looking so correct today. Complete with owner's manual, this is a terrific mix of vintage Jeep and complete luxury. You know a Grand Wagoneer of this caliber is tough to find, so don't miss your chance. Bid Today!
This SUV is also listed for sale locally so I reserve the right to end this auction early. Any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
