Car description

Recently, I found this Jeep for sale and purchased it. it needs restoration but not a major restoration. If you are a Jeep Grand Wagoneer owners and/pr fans, you know how easy it is to get the right parts......This is a 1988 and I really had my heart set on a final series, 89 thru 91 in the color of white and with a sand interior. So I'm going to let this one go. Even though I love it. I want to find the right vehicle to match what I originally had.
The good, the story is that this is from Texas, I believe this is true but actually have no proof. I do have a title issued in 1999 when the vehicle had 109 thousand miles. it's only gone 10 thousand in the last 10 years and I'm told only Summer time. it's all original and starts up, the tires were purchased in the last 10 years, probably around 2013 for it's last inspection. Most things work on this, the rear window goes up and down like it's suppose to do, all but one power window in the doors work. Power Seats work, the interior is in very nice condition. The original carpets are in the car and even the AMC Jeep floor mats are original. I don't see any major issues with rust in the underside of the vehicle, no rust thru in the floors. (see photos)
Now what's wrong with the car. The engine fires right up every time, but has had a back yard mechanic working on it before. so some vacuum hoses aren't connected and I also hear a tiny rap when the engine is running. The brakes are soft but work and I've not attempted to put it into four wheel drive. It has the head liner missing (see photo) but again, as you Jeep fan know, this is available from several vendors. The vehicle had some work to the front left fender and the paint job isn't or wasn't good so it's not matching and the roof and hood also have clear coat pealing. Again, the previous owner tried to do some sort of repair to the rear door power window and simply didn't finish what he was doing, so the window isn't staying up on it's own, and the door panel is removed and I can see the motor isn't connected properly but it does actually work, the switch and motor function. The original radio is gone and replaced with an aftermarket that functions. The left rear door panel is in great shape, but is missing it's arm rest.
The outside simply is 30 years old so the hood and roof have clear coat pealing, with the exception of the front left fender, it's all original paint. The window gaskets are original to the vehicle. The rocker panels both minor rust, the right has a hole, I've hosed it out to remove dirt and crap, and the left side is starting to bubble up, check the photos. The right side quarter panel is bubbling up but is not rusted thru...again, see the photos. The rocker panels and quarter panel are again available from Jeep Wagoneer Vendors and isn't very expensive to replace.
I wouldn't drive this across the USA. I'd trailer it, I wouldn't consider it drivable, but at the same time, I've driven it on the road around town for short trips....
The air conditioning unit was removed, but it comes with the vehicle. Additionally, some electrical work was done to the heater fan and it's not of stellar quality, (household electrical wiring rather than automotive grade). The air cleaner isn't on the engine in the photo but is with the vehicle. The air conditioning unit comes with the vehicle. The radiator fan shroud are in two pieces broken and removed from the Jeep.
If you purchase the vehicle, you get one month free storage, then 60 dollars a month.
IF there doesn't appear to be any interest in this vehicle, the auction may end early. This will only be listed once, no repeat listing till it sell, this is it, the one and only auction. There is no "Buy it Now Price". Thanks and best regards. Feel free to ask me any questions and I can send video of it running or other specific photos if required. I'm not a Dealer, just a collector for hobby purposes. I will help with any shipping if needed in terms of being availble for a truck to pick up but need 48 hours notice.
