I have decided the time has come for someone else to enjoy the pleasure of owning and driving this beautiful 1973 Jeep CJ5. I've had the privilege of being the curator of this wonderful machine since May, 2016. As of late "The Tractor" as it's affectionately become known to my wife and I, has been spending more time parked than being driven and enjoyed. This is about as bare bones of a Jeep as you'll find. No power steering, a heavy clutch, and four wheel drum brakes. When you drive this, you know you're behind the wheel of a classic Jeep. "The Tractor" always starts up, and runs great. A couple pumps of the gas, turn the key, and blast off. The paint and body are in great shape for a 43 year old Jeep. There is one small spot of bondo by the passenger door frame, and very little rust to be found. I can only hope to look this good when I hit 43. And speaking of paint, this thing was just meant for a Vols fan, Tennessee orange inside and out. This is sure to be the star of any tailgating you'd want to do. I've done my best to give a full and accurate description of my Jeep. It is by no means 100% perfect, or fully restored, and I make no such claims. It is however in exceptional condition for being 43 years old. It has never been used as a trail Jeep, rock crawler, or mud bogger. It's not an easy task to find one this old, and in such original condition. I would hope it's future caretaker would continue to show it the love and respect it has received until this point. Please feel free to call or text with any questions. Additional pictures are no problem.
