1994 JEEP WRANGLER (YJ)...2.5 LITER...AUTOMATIC...SUPER CLEAN CLASSIC

Up For Sale is my 1994 Jeep YJ "S" Model.

This Jeep has been tastefully restores to the manufactures factory specifications, approximately 90% complete at this time. I have also installed a few contemporary options for personal convenience. The majority of parts used in this restoration are brand new and most carry a life time warranty, (receipts in hand). I continuously receive compliments on the Jeep, especially when they find out that the vehicle is 24+ years old!

I have pulled a vehicle report on the Jeep and it identifies five owners, (one of which was a bank Repo and included an auction sale). The vehicle is totally free of any accidents or insurance issues. Title is free and clear and in hand.

Essentially the entire vehicle has been serviced and refinished. I see most jeep of this vintage advertized with typical rust issues. This Jeep does not have those typical rust issues! The Frame and Tub is SOLID! When I stated the project the hood, wind shield frame, both front fenders and transmission skid plate were replaced. One modification that was performed was the nutserts for the transmission skid plate, which is a well known failure point for older Jeeps. I had a machine shop produce plates which were inserted into the frame and eliminated the nutserts. I can drop the skid plate in 15 minutes if necessary. Of course if you want to go back to the nutserts I have a set, but I strongly suggest against it!

The Engine (2.5 liter) was replacement in November 2015 with a Jasper Remanufactured motor. The vehicle had 146,000 miles on it and now has 160,000 miles on the odometer. The engine comes with a nationwide transferrable warranty of 100,000 miles or 3 years, which includes labor if problems occur. Warranty is in effect until November 2018.

The transmission is a 3 speed automatic with lockup converter, (RH30). I had a new torque converter installed when the engine was replaced. After the engine replacement the transmission developed a slight slippage when shifting from 2nd to 3rd in cold weather. I had the problem evaluated in upstate NY in November 2017 and the shop informed me that the previous mechanic topped off the transmission with the incorrect fluid. I did not have the transmission service due to a long appointment wait time at the shop. Although the transmission operates and shifts correctly, a servicing should be performed (band adjustment, fluid change and new filter). Worst case scenario would be a transmission replacement, about $1000.00.

The Exterior has been refinished in silver gray and accented with black components. Decals have also been applied similar to what the factor installed. All lamps have rock guard covers and the third brake light has a strobe feature. I also chose to go with a more appealing rear bumper instead of the Bumperettes. I selected a set of black steel rims to coordinate with the color scheme and went with an eight inch wide rim instead of the standard seven inch, including the spare. The tires are Good Year Wranglers with approximately 16,000 miles; the spare has yet to see the road. The spare measures 10/32nds and the rest of the tires are at 9/32nds tread depth, which means excellent rubber all the way around!

As far as tops go, several come with the vehicle, all Smittybilt. The standard full soft top plus the following; standard bikini top, extended bikini top, windbreaker and rear tonnue cover. It also comes with a complete gray cab cover and window storage bag.

The Interior has been refinished in a light gray. The interior of the tube has also been preserved with spray in bed liner material. The seats have been professionally reupholstered just like they came from the factory. I have also installed a Pioneer DEH-X6700 stereo system with Bluetooth. The speakers were also replaced and there is a set of Infinity in the dash, Sony's in the sound bar. The glove box has been replaced with Smittybilt steel safe to lock your valuables.

As I stated the restoration is about 90%. There are a couple of issues, (from a preventative perspective), that I wanted to address, but just don't have the time to complete. One big plus is that the parts for those issues are included with the purchase!

WARRANTYS: This project was completed for my own personal use, NOT RESALE! Most of the parts maintain a life time warranty and purchased through Advanced Auto. There are also a lot of Rugged Ridge and Smittybilt parts which carry 5 year or lifetime warranty. One other big plus is that any sensor or critical operating component is Genuine MOPAR!
