Car description

Very clean and original 1967 Jeepster Commando purchased new in Santa Barbara, CA and stayed here it's entire life (still has dealer plates). Vehicle was originally purchased by a man with polio who had power steering added and it still works great. I'm the 3rd owner and it's a 57k+ mile truck. The body is excellent with a small spot of rust in lower rocker and the typical rust in the lower tailgate. The rest of the body is rust free. Only minor dings in hood from lifting it and setting it on windshield and all other body panels are amazingly dent free. I buffed out the hood to show how the paint will clean up. Again, this is an originalpaint car - no bondo, no touch ups and nothing hidden and no surprises. Underneath fenders were sealed (now flaking off) and the paint looks news. Interior is complete with added roll bar and plastic panels which have some damage and cracking. Front seats are not original but the original seats are included (need to be re-covered). Dash pad is excellent and there is no rust in floors or frame. Carpet is original but worn. Seat belts are original. No radio, but dash not cut. Hardtop is solid but has rust in gutters and has slider windows in great shape. Glass is excellent, windows, gaugesetc all work.
Original Dauntless V6 with aluminum intake and 4bbl carburetor, headers and stainless steel flowmasters. Starts right up and sounds great and throaty. Power brakes work but are stiff and should be serviced. Turbo 400 transmission shifts well and 4WD works as it should. Warn locking hubs. Does not leak a drop.
I looked for years for an original paint, rust free Commando and intended on restoring this but my plans have changed and I'm liquidating part of my collection. Car runs, drives, stops (I drove it home) but to be safe it should be gone through and buyer should plan on traileringit. If you're looking for an easy project or great start for a top notch restoration, this is your truck.
I don't sell junk and i don't want any surprises so please read the description and ask questions. Happy to accommodate inspections with an appointment. Original owners manual and 2nd set of keys included as well as a bunch of paperwork. Jeep is located between LA and SF on the Central Coast and an easy pick up for a shipping company.
If you have negative or 0 feedback please contact me before bidding. Good luck!
