You are bidding on a 1969 Gladiator survivor with all new zero miles parts. tires and fresh paint. When the paint work was done. the body was completely stripped down to the bare metal. No dents or holes to repair prior to new paint. All work to date including all mechanical work was done without a budget or any cost consideration. New interior work is also recently installed. When the paint was complete. new door weather strips were not installed. That will need to be done by the buyer. The engine was obtained used with unknown mileage. It was a new engine from a Cadillac dealer installed in a Deville prior to the death of the owner. The subject auto sat for many years prior to our purchase for the engine. The engine was clean inside. has great oil pressure and runs clean without a trace of smoke. Right now it needs all new ignition hardware. a carb adjustment and overall tuning plus some road time. We did install a new carburetor but it may need to be re-jetted with fuel pressure set too. There is an electric fuel pump with regulator feeding it. When driving the engine surges slightly as if running out of fuel. Road driving - is a dream - this truck rides very smooth without any road noise. vibrations or rattles. It rides smooth at highway speeds and accelerates quickly. Brakes are adjusted perfectly - stops clean. no vibration or pulling. Steering is smooth. no pulling of the front end or wheel. All new steering parts are contributing to that. In sync with the theme - you can say it Cadillacs. All lights and electrical work. New LED tail lights. dome light. etc. Not shown is the spare tire now mounted underneath. Barn find - On many high end internet sites right now you will see an array of vintage Jeep station wagons that have been well preserved and selling for an average low of $40 k. It is feasible to consider the preservation of those rides because they were the choice high end commuter of that era to be pampered and garage kept for life. However. all of the vintage Gladiator pick ups were loaded with a pallet of concrete bags. driven in the salt. sand. mud. had a snow plow welded onto them and were used for a tractor on the farm. When they were passed down to the hired hand. they were used for getting firewood from the hills until it finally died and was used for target practice. Those remains and their parts occasionally are posted for sale in fossilized form. We do industrial research work. While on an assignment in late 2013 in a very remote location of Nevada we found this amazing survivor. Clean. no rust. no dents. not running. Our intent was to restore it on the company tab for a company western office mascot complete with company logo signs on the door panels. Now. at this time. as of Jan 01. 2015 we are in the final stages of closing down the western office. We have less than 2 weeks to roll on to a location 3000 miles from here. Among the items to be sold ASAP is this truck. We would keep it. but need to account for the sale and reimbursement. The lowest appraisal is at $52 k - an offer from a dealer on the table is $20k. There is an auto investor stating that it needs to go to the high end auction in Scottsdale. We do not have the time or interest in that endeavor. Buy it. prep it and flip it. if you wish. From the time of purchase on this Ebay auction. you will have two weeks to pick it up. It is currently secure in a locked down facility. We will load it up onto any car carrier you send. There is a car cover for it. please inspect the flawless body prior to shipping. Title is available via FedEx at the time of purchase. Shipping nor the research of shipping is included in this Ebay sale. Good luck bidding. Answer to quest - 1/25 - No there are no leaks or drips of any kind when parked in the garage.
