Car description

I am an older driver and this is my 5th Jeep. I waited for an old one specifically because after American motors got them they became more car like. Prior to that they were tools for workers and soldiers. I knew after owning an MB and M-38. a CJ5 then many years later a Wrangler that I wanted an old Jeep only. They are not as safe lacking airbags but they only go about 45-50 mph and can plow a field. literally of course you have to add attachments. But the old ones were serious. the new ones have to be modified. >>>This is a project. Every system needs something. It starts and runs and stops but needs more time and money. Money was not the problem but I bought it off eBay about 5 years ago and then my health came crashing down. It was the end of all my projects. even my business and as an owner I was not happy about that. I bought it unseen and was surprised that it had no brakes. It was a major effort to replace them but I could not offer it for sale and some kid buy it and get hurt with a patched brake system. I think every brake component is brand new. as are the tires which are narrow like they were back then. It has the Continental Hurricane 4 cylinder OHC and the ugly seats need covering. Now this guy that sold it to me failed to mention that it is an older CJ5 frame with a newer (longer) CJ5 body. So the rear bumper needs to be extended or a custom aftermarket bolted on to add 5" to it. >>>>It is for sale as-is where-is at 38301 Jackson. TN. I have no problem letting you run it but remember it is a project and is a rough ride now. If you want to try it out do so before buying it. If you intend to replace the tires I might buy back the narrow wheels and tires so you can put wide ones on it. Figure on hauling it. too many little problems need fixing to safely take off on a long trip. Parts are mostly available. This is perfect for a kid that likes engines and mechanical stuff. But I remember that their quick steering gave AMC legal trouble with kids using the later models on the highway. I guess this one steers quick too but at 45 mph I wonder how dangerous it is. Now when they put V-8's and automatics in them and they would go 70 it was a different vehicle. Send me any questions and I will answer asap. I will post some more pictures. engine. interior. etc. in a day or two. I had some but they got erased somehow. Good luck.
