Car description |
---|
1985 Jeep CJ8 Scrambler. One of 2015? made for the 1985 model year. This is the rarest year with the exception of a handful of 1986's. This one really is as nice as it looks. No frame rot, straightest Scrambler I've seen, maybe too straight. I'm not sure they were this good from the factory.
Doors DO NOT have the typicalmetal splitting under the vent windows. During the refinishing process some metal was removed and new metal VERY professionally welded in. If you're not looking you can't find it, and even then it can only be seen from inside the bed. No Bondo.
Drivers side floor pan has been replaced, but don't think the passenger one has been.
Runs, drives, steers, shifts, stops exactly like it should. No surprises. Speedometer is a little off because of the larger tires.
Original color was Ronald Reagan blue. (not the official name I know) The firewall, underside of hood, and radiator support is still the original color.
I do have a set of white spoke Jeep wheels that would have been original to this Jeep if you'd like them.
The bad:
Dash pad is cracked. I have a new one that goes with the Jeep.No rear view mirror. No antennae.
I'm sure I'll regret selling this, it's exactly what I was looking for, but interests and priorities change from time to time, so it's time for it to go.
Jeep will be for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. Good luck.
It is titled and registered in North Dakota, but is currently and will be in NC Kansas until buyer picks it up.
