Car description

This is a rare 1984 Jeep CJ8 Scrambler Right Hand Drive 4x4that was once used by the postal service in Alaska a.k.a the mailman. I purchased this Jeep from Collins Bros. a few years back. I planned on restoring it into a camping/expedition rig but never got around to it. It has the very rare, export only, World Cab Top. The top has never been removed from the Jeep so all of the components that make up the top are still there. The doors are specific to this style top and have correct glass in good shape. The factory keys are with the Jeep and do lock and unlock the doors. The rear barn door doesn't open from the outside. It used to so I'm guessing one of the rods came out of the handle. The rear barn door opens just fine from the inside. The Jeep has the factory 3 speed automatic transmission that shifts in all gears and reverse. The motor starts right up and runs good. The 20 gallon gas tank has been flushed and cleaned and has a new sending unit. We put in 5 gallons of gas and the gauge moved to 1/4 tank so seems to work fine. The Jeep sits how Ipurchasedit. I was told that the post lady acquired it from the postal service when the Jeep was retired. She had it painted purple and rebuilt the motor as part of a restoration. It does have Superior one piece rear axles. I can't confirm the motor rebuild. The front floor does have rust and rust holesin areas. The driver's side floor is flat out gone. A new floor panel would need to be welded in or just patch over it. The windshield frame is shot. I keep the Jeep in a climate controlled warehouse so it doesn't sit out in the weather and get any worse. The front fenders are dented. The is some rust over the passenger wheel well area.It has rare Scrambler mud flaps, two Leon Rosser front seats, uncut dash panel. The bed floor is nice since it's always had a top over it. You can see remnants of the old carpet and the foam insulation is still on the interior of the top. Notsure what else to say. It runs good, hascomplete World Cab Top, does have repairable rust. Sold as is. Please ask any questions or let me know if you would like anymore pictures. Thanks and good luck!I do have clear title in my name.. I will gladly help loading this Jeep up on a carrier of your choice.
