Car description

Beautiful 1983 CJ7 Laredo
Rare Midnight Blue color. Original Paint!
Excellent condition!
Buy a soft top/doors and tires and you're ready to go with a super nice Jeep at a great price! I am motivated to sell, so I will consider any reasonable offers.
I will be very clear and thorough with my disclosure of this Jeep. It is an amazing CJ7 Laredo in very rare Midnight Blue color code...all 100% original paint. This Jeep has just over 105k miles, but you would never know it. It looks as good or better in person as it does in the photos. No surprises here!
Body and paint - The Jeep still sports all original paint. The driver side hood area has some fading, and as you can see, shows a bit of patina. But, it's kinda cool, and the rest of the paint on the Jeep is very nice. All original graphics are still intact. There are some areas where a previous owner used touch up paint, but those areas are very minimal. Mainly just a few areas on the front fenders from rock chips.
Interior - The interior is an easy 9/10. The driver side seat has a small tear on the bottom. However, an ebay member sells exact replica seat bottoms for approximately $250 if you choose to replace it. The passenger seat, and rear bench seat are in like new condition. The carpet is original to the Jeep and is also in excellent condition as seen in the photos. The dash is uncut with an aftermarket 2-post AM/FM/Cassette that powers up, but speakers don't have sound. Could be just that the speakers are not connected, or I'm doing something wrong...don't know.
Rust - The Jeep came to me with the front driver and passenger floor boards looking brown from surface rust. I took a wire cup wheel to the front floor boards and the only rust it had was surface rust, with the exception of 1 tiny pinhole on the driver side floor. When I say pin hole, I mean this hole is about 1/5 the size of an eraser tip. Does not show up in photos. The floors are very nice, and I did not repaint over them so you can see exactly what I'm talking about. There is minimal "pitting" as this rust ever so slightly broke the surface of the metal. Does not need any type of repair whatsoever. The rear floors are immaculate as seen in the photos! The windshield also has a very small amount of what appears to be surface rust on the passenger side where the window meets the frame and a dab around the driver side wiper arm. These were very common problem areas with CJs. I dropped the windshield frame down and there was no "through rust" where the windshield meets the top of the dash.
Frame - Frame is PERFECT with zero rust. I've owned many CJs and know exactly where to look for rust, and this Jeep has none. Looks like it just left the factory.
Engine and Transmission - No issues whatsoever. The 258 CI engine fires right up and Jeep runs great! Engine is very clean, and Jeep still has original carburetor, emission stuff, etc. The engine is unmolested, just like the rest of the Jeep. T5 manual transmission has zero issues, as well as the Dana 300 transfer case.
Leaks - The engine and transmission do not leak. Rear differential cover has a very slight drip. I have not replaced the gasket. Easy fix though.
Electrical - All the lights work, but the gauges do not stay lit and I don't believe the turn signals work. Could be a turn signal switch, or something else....not sure. Regardless, it is fixable, but I'm not an electric guru so I didn't even try messing with it. The wires under the dash are not all hacked up, so I'm sure its something not too terribly difficult. A little troubleshooting will get the issue resolved. OEM clock, tach, gauges all function as they should.
Top and Doors - This Jeep comes without a hard top and hard doors. Only comes with a brand new Bestop strapless bikini top, as pictured.
TIRES - Tires are not safe for driving as they are very dry rotted. They hold air, but you will need to buy new tires right away.
Well, I can't think of anything else really. If you have any questions about the Jeep, give me a ring or shoot me a text 520-789-0875. I have a clean title in my name and will overnight it to you once the Jeep is paid for. I have a really good shipping guy who's prices are extremely competitive and generally unbeatable. $500 deposit via paypal due right away, and balance of Jeep due within 3 business days via wire transfer or cashier's check. Vehicle is expected to be picked up from my residence within 1 week of sale. However, I'm a very reasonable person and will work with you if it takes longer. Just do your best to get it quickly.
Thanks for looking!
