UP FOR AUCTION:
1971 JEEP WAGONEER 4X4 AMC 360 V8 WITH RARE T18 4SP MANUAL
THIS WAGONEER HAS A CLEAN OREGON TITLE WITH CURRENT PLATES AND TAGS AND IS A SOLID CANDIDATE FOR COMPLETE RESTORATION. I WILL BE VERY CLEAR IN THE DETAILS BELOW REGARDING THE POSITIVES AND CHALLENGES FACING THIS RIG. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ASK ANY AND ALL QUESTIONS REGARDING THIS VEHICLE AS I WANT THE FUTURE BUYER TO FULLY UNDERSTAND THE PURCHASE THEY ARE MAKING. BUYERS BIDS WITH NEGATIVE FEEDBACK WILL BE DELETED.
THE WAGONER RUNS VERY STRONG AND DRIVES WELL. THE ENGINE HAS EXHAUST MANIFOLD LEAKS AND I BELIEVE THE #7 CYLINDER HAS A BAD WRIST PIN. THERE IS TICKING NOISE AT IDLE AND WHEN THE #7 CYL SPARK PLUG WIRE IS PULLED AND THE NOISE DISAPPEARS. I HAVE DRIVEN THIS WAGONEER ON THE FREEWAY AND AROUND TOWN SEVERAL TIMES WITHOUT INCIDENT BUT IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT THE ENGINE WILL NEED A COMPLETE OVERHAUL SHOULD YOU DECIDE TO MAKE IT YOUR DAILY DRIVER. RECENTLY I HAVE REPLACED THE ALTERNATOR, INSTALLED NEW PLUGS/WIRES, IGNITION COIL AND CHANGED THE OIL AND FILTER.
THE FACTORY 4SP T18 MANUAL TRANNY WORKS IN ALL GEARS AND THE 4WD IS FUNCTIONING. THE 4SP TRANNY HAS A 1ST GEAR 6:22 RATIO....POPULAR AMONG 4WD ENTHUSIASTS.
AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PICTURES THERE ARE 4 BRAND NEW WILD COUNTRY XTX SPORT ALL SEASON 30/950R-15/6 TIRES.....$715.00
THE BODY HAS AN OLDER RESTORATION AND IT IS EVIDENT THAT BONDO WAS USED AND IS NOW FAILING. ORIGINAL COLOR CAN BE SEEN IN INTERIOR PICTURE AROUND THE REAR WINDOW....POSSIBLY ORIGINALLY A FORESTRY RIG. TYPICAL RUST AREAS AS SHOWN IN PICTURES.......THE LOWER END OF THE TAILGATE HAS RUST AND IS DIFFICULT TO OPEN AND CLOSE. FLOOR PANS ARE IN GOOD CONDITION. THE REAR WINDOW TRACK DOES NOT FUNCTION. ALL OF THE GLASS IS IN DECENT CONDITION AND THE DOORS ALL OPEN AND LATCH CLOSED.
THERE IS NO REAR SEAT BUT THERE ARE 2 FRONT BUCKETS WITH SEAT BELTS. THE DASH IS COMPLETE BUT ONLY THE FUEL GAUGE WORKS. THERE IS A RADIO DELETE PANEL AND BELIEVE IT OR NOT THE LIGHTER WORKS AND LOOKS LIKE NEW ON THE COIL SIDE. THERE APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN FACTORY AIR AT ONE TIME BUT THE COMPRESSOR IS NO LONGER PRESENT. THE BLOWER MOTOR AND WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR WORKS. HEADLIGHTS AND TAIL LIGHTS WORK...THERE IS ONE HEADLIGHT BEZEL MISSING.
IF THERE IS ANY OTHER INFORMATION OR PICTURES YOU WOULD LIKE ME TO INCLUDE PLEASE ASK.
THANK YOU FOR LOOKING!!
