We know that this Laredo originally came with a 304 cubic inch V8 from AMC. and the engine under the hood fits that description. While its nearly impossible to say for sure that it is the original. we do know that it is at least a period correct engine according to the suffix code. That 304 appears to have a recent rebuild as well. Power feeds from the potent AMC block into a 4- speed manual while spent gases exit through the dual exhaust. With disc brakes in the front. you will have the stopping power you need. but at the same time with 33x12. 5 All Terrain tires wrapped around 15" rims you will have the ability to go just about anywhere.
