Selling my 72 jeep cj-5 304, 3 sp. with low miles .first yr for the AMC 304, and bigger fram, 12,500 showing ? Story on this jeep was a city jeep when first owner decided it was too dangerous for daily driving then sold it to the man I purchased from . He used it on his family Hondo Tx ranch for 30 yrs ( very dry climate, explains the no rust ), Tu, floor, frame all look grea, still has the original factory jeep floor mats! He maintained the jeep very well as you can see from the pics. The original owner added the skyjacker 2'' lift (smooth ride spings mid 80's, winch ( working , push bar with tow ba, eletric chok, hei ignitio, ( starts easy ) and best top heavy canvas with full doors, still in good cond. ( easy to take on and off )
The jeep was not in driving cond. when I purchased 4 yrs ago, Things I've done listed below >
sanded to the orig. renegade orange ( had five layers of camo and one orange repaint from the 80's ) smoothed and painted with heavy duty enamel . the dash is where I had it down to. ( liked the orange dash color )
added the 8'' wide steel rims with bf goodrich 9.50x30 x15 tko mudd tires .
replaced the seats with oem matching seats. not cheap replacements you see on most old jeeps. ( jackpot find )
repaired all the gas and brake line that needed replacing with steel lines ( they had rubber fuel lines next to the exhaust, lucky the jeep did'nt burn up ) I guess that's what they mean by survivo, lol.
new wires plug, rebuilt the motorcraft 2100 carb. all the lights, hor, wiper, blinkers, working. brake lights need the pressure switc, but work when touched together, can be street legal with the brake lights issue fixed ( 10$ part )
Added am fm radio & speaker bo, 2 gun rac, 2' led light bar ( turns night into day ) lighter works for spotlight .
Cleaned and painted the dual fuel tanks ( holds 20 gal. rear and 10 under seat . ) still working switch over valve .
I have smitty built canvas cab cove, rear cage & tow bar ( not pictured ) easy to take on -off.
no issues with the 4 wheel driv, trans, leaks or drivin, It can cruise 1 mph in idle or will go 70 mph if your in a hurry. the jeep will go just about anywher, climbs like a goat! always get a thumbs up .
will make a great beach town or ranch safari cruiser. hate to sell it but I just don't use it enough.
will help out with any shippers you prefer or can deliver within a couple hrs of my area?
Let me know if you have any questions, call or text me @ 325-642-2070
