Up for sale is our beloved 1976 Wagoneer. Has AMC 360 V8. turbo 400 automatic. and quadrtrac. Vacuum diff lock works. Runs and drives well. but is not perfect. Driven daily in the summer months. Mostly stock with the exception of a lift done by previous owner. The body is solid with some rust starting around the rear fender wells. and one spot on the driver's side rocker. (Replacement full rear quarter panels are included) Frame and floors are solid. The truck has an older respray with a nice. satin patina. It could be brought back to a shine easily with a buffing. but I always liked the patina look on old trucks. The interior is okay. but the original vinyl bench seats are splitting/ripped. The dash is in good shape. Has newer vinyl flooring. Power rear window works from both the dash and tailgate. The headliner is newer. but the hard-board backing is sagging in places and would likely need to be redone if this bothers you. The windows and door locks are manual. The blower and heat/defrost switches work on all settings. but the heat output has always been a little weak. All the lights work. The truck has what appears to be a complete factory A/C set up. but it is not hooked up and I do not know what it would take to make it work again. We prefer to just drive with the windows down as it never gets that hot here in Maine. Other good points include all stainless steel brake lines. newer vinyl flooring. new brake master cylinder (new fluid was pushed through the whole system at this time) The tires are all older. but in good shape with even wear on all four tires and plenty of life left in them. The engine runs well and always starts right up. Last fall it was given a full ignition tune up. (plugs. cap. rotor. wires). It does tick for a few seconds on cold start up. which is common on the AMC 360. It quiets down very quickly and the oil pressure is about 35-40lbs cold and 10-20 at hot idle after a long drive. The transmission shifts very well. This example has quadratrac full time four wheel drive with a vacuum locking center differential. The switch is in the glovebox. and it engages and disengages smoothly. Known issues include an intermittent driveline vibration (possibly front drive shaft u-joints or the front hub u joints. but I am not sure) and a sticky/leaky vacuum advance. a leaky thermostat housing (again. common on these engines). and the rust mentioned earlier. Recent work includes a new stainless exhaust. new u-joints in the rear driveshaft. and a new brake master cylinder. new vacuum lines. new transmission mount and torque arm bushing. new fluid fluid in the transfer case. and an oil change in rear axle. (old brake MC shown in the photos. was changed shortly after the photos were taken) I will change the engine oil before the new owner takes delivery. This is a super charming truck that gets attention everywhere we bring it. The truck has a great look and could be enjoyed as is or a great platform to bring to the next level. As mentioned earlier it runs and drives well. but it is far from perfect. It's just a solid. driver level example of the iconic Wagoneer. A few parts are included such as new full rear quarter panels. valve cover gaskets. factory '76 service manual. Baldwin oil filters. and a few other misc. things. I would strongly encourage any interested parties to come see and inspect the vehicle in person if possible. Please look at the photos carefully and Please ask questions before bidding! More photos are available upon request. The truck is sold as is. where is. The truck is sold with a bill of sale only as Maine does not issue titles on vehicles of this age. I've done my best to represent the truck as honestly as possible. but this is a 39 year old. largely original. AMC product. so it has it's flaws.
