Car description |

This is a great 1985 Jeep CJ7 that has been family owned for the last 15+ years. It just got an oil change, new tires (less than 100 miles on them), battery and distributer replaced as well as spark plugs and wires replaced.
It has a rebuilt 360 5.9L V8 Jeep Grand Wagoneer engine (it has about 40K miles on it now) as well as an Edelbrock High Performance Carburetor. The odometer isn't calibrated for the larger tires that we put on it, so the mileage reading is very inaccurate.
The transmission was rebuilt in 2001 but it is currently leaking. Two mechanics have told me that the shift rod seal needs to be replaced.
It runs pretty well, with occasional misfires.
The horn is not working, neither is the radio (sorry). The other electrical all works (lights, turn signals, etc.)
There is one small rust spot on the left side (detailed photo shows it from the inside as well).Other than that, it does need a new paint job.
I haven't used the 4WD in 10 years, but it was working when I did (we never took it off roading, so it was only used in really heavy rain).
I'm selling it because I am moving to New York City and will not be able to take it with me. It is an amazing car, all they guys in new wranglers give you jealous looks when you pass them!
