Car description |
---|
A beautiful 1986 Jeep Grand Wagoneer like this is truly a work of art that is very hard to find. The quality of this car, both the interior and and exterior, are phenomenal given how old the Jeep is and shows that the car has been extremely well taken care of.
I bought this amazing Jeep from a family friend who had used the Jeep as a small town car for a ranch they had in Florida to cruise around in on the occasional Sunday. The previous owners poured in cash on this Jeep to restore it to a pristine, highly functional, lasting and safe car. They had it serviced and restored by a Jeep Wagoneer specialist in Florida in order to make the car as safe and reliable as possible for their daughter. This is also a very wealthy family friend and they always bring their cars to the best. I recently purchased this Jeep from them as their daughter had moved to South Africa for service work and no longer needed the Jeep. I collect classics and pounced when I had the chance.
The updates to the Jeep While in Florida:

THE ONLY REASON I’M SELLING is because the company that I work for has me in a role that requires a lot of driving with a lot of cargo. Driving this Jeep everyday, dozens of miles a day, loaded with 200-600 lbs of cargo is an absolute crime and I will not put this beautiful work of art through that strenuous daily grind.
I am in no rush to sell this Jeep and want to ensure it goes to an owner who understand and appreciated the amazing vehicle this 1986 Jeep Wagoneer is. It will be an absolute dagger to my heart watching this car drive away....I looked into a ridiculous array of options to try and keep the car but feasibly none worked out.
This Jeep has both 2 wheel and 4 Wheel drive. It is an automatic transmission, automatic windows, automatic mirrors, and automatic seats. Everything is working except the Rear window Roll up button on the driver dash does not seem to constantly work. However, the key roll up and roll down on the back works 100%.
This Jeep is an absolute head turner, a huge Beach crowd favorite, and has most surfers jaws on the ground when we occasionally put some surfboards on top and head over to the beach.
Among regular maintenance and care, they added a few extras including automatic locking and unlocking features as well as a keyless engine start-up.
Interior - 9.5 out of 10 - Small signs of very minimal wear can be found but overall there are probably no other 1986 Jeep Wagons with this clean of an interior. Tan interiors are generally more sought after on these Jeeps than the burgundy alternative but burgundy generally holds up better over time. To have a tan interior like this one, looking so strong, is very uncommon. The carpeting is also in very good condition except for the rear cargo area corners by the tailgate.
Exterior - 9 out of 10 - Very small scratches can be found in the original paint as well as a small dent on the rear bumper. If you took a magnifying glass and went over every inch of the car, there would be a few blemishes that would be seen but barley noticeable. The remaining chrome and aluminum exterior bits (grill & bumpers, etc) appear original and while not new condition, still reflective pristine quality this Jeep is in.
Engine - The engine has been unbelievably well maintained and taken care of by specialists in Florida from the previous owner. The engine starts and runs very well. Completely reliable and this Jeep could 100% be used as a daily driver with proper care. I recently replaced the entire exhaust and muffler system to ensure that even though the Jeep had been sitting for about 4 months until I came into ownership, the engine would run stronger and breather cleaner than it ever has.
One of a kind with this rare find. Excellent condition inside and out. All original from top to bottom. Very few like this one. Drives like it did in 1986. Please feel free to contact me with any questions about this Jeep. Sold As-Is, please feel free to message with any requests of further detailed images or video to verify the car's quality.
The Jeep must be picked up in person or the buyer must coordinate their own shipping.
