Awesome 1978 CJ-5 needs a new home. I just don't have the time to put into her anymore. V8 5.0L AMC engine is factory engine, ot a swap. 3-Speed transmission.Last summer I installed the following items NEW:
- 2.5 inch Skyjacker Leaf Spring Suspension with Shocks and Steering Stabilizer
- Brake system, oth Front Disc and Rear Drum, ew Pads, ines and Proportioning Valve
- Starter and Solenoid
- Carburetor - Motorcraft 2150 (remanufactured)
- 15x10 Alloy Wheels (American Racing)
- 33 x 12.5 inch BF Goodrich Baja Tires
Additional features include:
- Chrome Grill, ront Bumper, irrors and Stainless Dash Cover
- Soft Top, ncluding new support frame, s less than 2 years old
- Neoprene Seat Covers (for when you get caught on the trail in the rain)
- CB Radio (to ask your fellow 4x4 friends why they are still at the bottom of the hill)
- 8000 lbs. Winch (to help your 4x4 friends get up the hill and join you)
- Factory emission smog pump (Making it legal in all 50 States...even you California)
- 6 point Roll Bar
Like most Jeeps from the 1970's it needs to warm-up a few minutes, ut once warmed-up it runs well. After replacing the carburetor last summer it does run a little bumpy because I am not an expert and I never adjusted the carburetor correctly. So with a little fine-tuning it will once again run like a dream.
