I wish I had this jeep 20 years ago when the kids were home, s it is, 'm tired of the rough ride, limbing in and out of it and just having it sit around. It's time to say, I had a Jeep once!" and sell it.I did a fair amount of work on it the last 2 years, ncluding:
Rebuilt 4.0 liter 6 cylinder engine with about 5K miles on it.
Fuel pump was replaced at the same time.
New clutch and had the flywheel turned.
5 spd. manual transmission and transfer case serviced.
Falken tires.
New spare tire cover.
Rancho shocks and steering stabilizer.
Battery, lternator and serpentine belt.
Brakes and wheel bearings checked and okay.
The Sahara seats are original and in good shape. The passenger seat has a small rip, o I put seat covers on to preserve them. The rear seat is torn up. I have it and all the hardware to re-install it. Bikini top in good shape. 2.5 inch lift all around. The air conditioner looks rough, ut it works. It needs coolant (R-12), ut since I never enclosed her, didn't bother re-charging it.
It's a Sahara, o power steering and power brakes are standard equipment. I installed new fog lamps on the bumper. When I got it, here were headlamp grills all around and KC lights installed up on the windshield. I removed them, ut they come with the vehicle. I painted her olive drab, ntending to do a full camouflage job, ut I just haven't gotten around to it. The original paint was okay (see picture), ust faded out and boring, ut maybe most important......this is an Arizona vehicle and there is NO rust on it!!!
