1983 Jeep Scrambler (CJ-8) 4.0L 6 cylinder engine pulled from a '94 Wrangler and swapped around 2005. It has an AX-15 5-speed manual transmission with Dana 300 transfer case. The whole electrical system was gutted and redone in 2012 along with the dash. Rust spots in the truck bed were replaced with new metal plates and re-lined. The frame is in great condition. The whole jeep was repainted around the same time. The Jeep has been driven all over the US, rom Georgia to California to Mexico and back with no problems. The engine even passed California emissions, he toughest in the country, n 2009. Comes with original half-cab hard top, full soft top, s well as a bikini top. The Tuffy console ensures the stereo and other belongings are secured even with the doors off. A full spare tire and trail jack are mounted to the roll bar. The console has all the sockets and other tools necessary to swap out the roof as well as a tire iron. The Jeep is in great condition for its age. I just drove it through Athens and Atlanta last weekend. With that being said, t is a 33 year old vehicle. The lack of anti-lock brakes takes getting used to. Currently the temperature gauge and clock are not hooked up. Honestly I do not want to sell it, ut I no longer live in America. I spent the last three years trying to import it into Southeast Asia with no luck. It is a shame to keep it in storage, o I am hoping to find someone that will enjoy it as much as I have. If you are looking for a multi-functional Jeep that will turn heads, his is it.
